Does Ephesians 2:10 Add Works to Maintaining Salvation?

Another verse used by the works salvation crowd in a desperate attempt to teach a faith plus works salvation (which is NO faith at all, please read Romans 11:6) is Ephesians 2:10.  They say, "Hey you missed that verse out."  However by looking at it closer, it does not.  Ephesians 2:8-10 says, "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: not of works, lest any man should boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them."  Re-examining the whole passage, it can be summarized as this- salvation is NEVER by works that means it's not earned or even maintained by salvation otherwise that would be self-righteousness.

Instead, Ephesians 2:10 says that the Christian life is meant for good works as a result of salvation.  It's the same as what Titus 2:11-15 which says, "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.  These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee."
