Dealing with Unbelieving Arrogant People

It's a reality in life that there are unbelieving ARROGANT people to deal with. It can't be avoided. So the reality is that it's time for Christians to get to deal with arrogant people (and many pretend to be humble). I have already been encountering them one after the other- I do admit I have been guilty of letting such stupidity bother me. In fact, they can be so stupid to even admit they are wrong! Here's a few things to remember about them: 1.) DO NOT stoop down to the level of an arrogant person. Remember Ephesians 5:11- do not fellowship with arrogant people because they are workers of darkness. If Christians stoop down to their level, they become arrogant in some way like Samson did when he stooped down to the level of the Philistines. 2.) Remember the Bible predicted them. It is definitely NOT surprising that they are around. (2 Timothy 3:2, 2 Peter 2:10). 3.) Remember that before fall comes pride (Proverbs 11:2, 16:18, 18:12, 29:23,

Should Playing Cards Be Considered and Dismissed as Just Harmless Fun?

One issue about gambling is that once the foundation is set, it seems hard to get go. Is playing cards just harmless fun? Actually one should realize that everything starts on a small seed. Remember the mustard seed? It's a very small seed but it bears much fruit LATER . It's just like the issue of playing cards (which is gambling paraphernalia by the way) and they say, "Oh we're just having fun and you're being such a killjoy. We're not betting on anything." That statement can be so deceitful. If one tries to read sermons of old-fashioned preachers then they may end up stumbling against the issue of playing cards as well. There is in fact, nothing wrong with a Christian academy to ban playing cards and consider it as offensive as cheating in an exam- they should because the invention of cards was nothing more than meant to be for gambling just as marijuana and shabu are always meant to destroy people and earn dirty money. The Bible is clear in Numbers

Some Tactics That Religiously Lost Debaters Use to Intimidate People to a Debate

It cannot be denied that persecution is a reality in Christian life whether direct or subtle.  Some persecute Christianity by the obvious ways like the Inquisition and the Crusades.  Others persecute Christianity by presenting another Jesus who is an unrestrained individual, telling people they're terrorists whenever they preach the reality of salvation is only through Jesus Christ and not through works or religion.   Here are some commonly found characteristics in these disinformation agents: Having an arrogant attitude.  Sometimes their photos from their social network accounts do show just how haughty they are.  They can be displayed by smile that's not friendly but rather intimidating and irritating.  Their way of speaking is very master and commander, high and mighty type of attitude. Pretends to be or even thinks of one's self as smarter than everybody else even if they turn out to be real fools. Foul-mouthed.  Many of them speak a lot of bad words. Intellectual d

Commentary on 1 Timothy 3:15- The Church as the Pillar and Ground of the Truth

1 Timothy 3:15- "But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the Church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth." Here's one of the verses used to butt out Sola Scriptura which parody Christian groups use to justify to their adding of manmade traditions. Here's the reality of the Christian teachings of what the Church really is in contrast to what man says it is: The Church is NOT referred to the building but rather the collection of believers, divided organizationally but still united spiritually. (1 Corinthians 12:27) The teachings of the Church are in the traditions of the Bible NOT IN MANMADE TRADITION. The foundation of the Church is Jesus Christ NOT MAN (Matthew 16:16-18 is frequently misused). When Jesus told Peter that He will build the church on the Rock, Jesus pointed to Peter the sure foundation of the Church he was destined to become the first pastor of . Peter

Playing with Synonyms as Antonyms

There is a really heavy logical fallacy today that tries to play with the synonyms as antonyms.  How is this being one?  One obvious joke in childhood is saying "What's the difference between two words?" and the answer would be "the spelling".  However that kind of joke can turn from clean fun to a sour one if it becomes used as if it's not a joke in the field of apologetics.   Here are a few examples of how the fallacy is being used and notice how funny or even annoying they can get: "Salvation is not by doing good works but by doing the works of the Law and the sacraments." "I don't teach works salvation by any means, I teach conditional security where a believer can lose their salvation should they stumble into sin." "He's not being annoying, he's just being bothersome so get over it." "I wasn't cheating, I was just looking at the answer." "He's not addicted to illegal drugs, he's

Words Can Be Like Leaves in Apologetics

Ecclesiastes 5:2 says, "Be not rash with thy mouth, and let not thine heart be hasty to utter any thing before God: for God is in heaven, and thou upon earth: therefore let thy words be few ." One of the greatest issues today of apologetics ministries is that some of them speak many words what they believe to be the truth or the truth but it doesn't hit the point?  Why?  The statement is true- "Words are like leaves, it's rare to find fruit among them." Here are some examples of how that can happen: An apologetics blog or website can have up to 1,000 posts or more yet most of the content is not meaty.  He can start to refer to a few Bible verses but always takes them OUT OF CONTEXT rather than IN CONTEXT.  Pastor John Macarthur quoted, "You do not take the Bible out of context, you take it in context.  You interpret the Bible with the Bible.  If you don't, you're going to end up in bad interpretation and use John 11 to speak of the Rapture of
