The Scapular Does Not Give Anybody Their Salvation!

I remembered seeing Roman Catholics wear their scapular and they can say that wearing it means that they are reminded of their duties on Earth.  However, there is a much bigger picture to that than the scapular which is none other than a "Christianized" version of the good luck charm, it's simony at best and just like Simon the false convert, how many people think they can sell God for money?  If you are worshiping a god bought from the marketplace or the local store that sells idols, it's as foolish as people who set up an altar and pray to any god they bought from a souvenir shop.  They may claim that they do not worship the image but their actions speak louder than words.  Considering today is the Feast of the Immaculate Conception where Roman Catholics believe Mary was conceived without sin, I felt like writing this article to convict them of their sins that they may come to know the saving grace of the Lord Jesus Christ alone for salvation.

It's really an insult to rely on any "good luck charm" because it's superstitious and unbiblical.  I have seen a pagan woman who wore around her neck a necklace with a carving of any goddess or any other pagan wearing a lucky charm.  Like the scapular that says, "Whosoever dies clothed in this Scapular shall not suffer eternal fire.", it's linked to the idolatry of goddess worship.  Roman Catholics may argue that they are not worshiping Ishtar, Semiramis or any pagan goddess but you cannot deny that devotion to Mary is idolatry.  Mary is not a mediator or co-Mediator, she is not a Mediatrix as John 2:5 and 1 Timothy 2:5 declares the truth that Jesus is the only Mediator between God and man.  When Mary said in John 2:5 to do whatever He (Jesus) tells you to do, she wanted people to see that she could not mediate between them and Jesus.  Roman Catholics use that verse to justify their devotion to Mary without fully understanding the context that Jesus politely refused His mother in public.  Mary fully understood that she could not mediate between sinners and Jesus Christ.  Even if they are not worshiping any pagan goddess but worshiping Mary is no different because it's a very act of idolatry.

The claim that Mary the mother of Jesus supposedly appeared to "St." Simon Stock and gave him the scapular is nothing more than being given after fables.  The more I do research about the Roman Catholic institution, the more I am convinced that the whole church is built on fables and forgeries.  There is nothing to suggest Scriptural or historical that Mary was taken into Heaven to be crowned, that's an outright lie.  The scapular is an insult to God's grace because only believing on the Lord Jesus Chrirst for salvation keeps a person away from Hell, nothing more.  It's ridiculous Roman Catholics can quote John 14:6 but they still rely on canonized "saints", Mary or even use the scapular which is just a piece of cloth for salvation?  It's an insult to the very grace of God to replace it with a piece of good luck charm and religious idolatry cannot be divorced from superstition.  Go and visit any local pagan temple or any Roman Catholic parish, you will find that idolatry and superstition go together.  Likewise, the scapular is a product of both idolatry and superstition.

Ezekiel 13:18 also warns of women that slew pillows to all armholes which refers to amulets or good luck charms.  In the Good News Translation, it calls them as magic wristbands and make magic scarves or in short, they are good luck charms.  The Roman Catholic institution may go ahead and justify their heresy with Acts 19:12 but remember, the signs of the apostles are over.  Whether the idolatrous charm is worn on the neck, on the wrist or anywhere it is still an abomination before the LORD to be wearing good luck charms in hopes of attaining salvation of any kind.  God hates anything that gets your mind off Him.  I encourage you to repent of your idolatry, repent of your sin and receive Jesus Christ as your only Lord and Savior before it's too late.
