You Can't Believe in Astrology and the Bible at the Same Time

It's stupid to claim that you're a born again Christian yet you consult astrology. There's no way I could consider them to be harmless fun because the Bible strongly discourages it. The Bible is obviously against witchcraft. If you think the New Testament condones witchcraft... think again!
Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

The Old Testament's ceremonial law may no longer be in effect but the moral law is still in effect. Although eating of bacon and shrimp is now allowed (Acts 10:12-14) but the evils of occultism are still condemned. God hates the occult so much that He had the Israelites level down such sinful civilizations after their cup of iniquity was full. Just think of how God ordered the deaths of entire civilizations because of the occult. These people are so degenerate and wicked that there's no choice but to eventually eliminate them for their sinful living.

Why do some people get into the occult? It's really for selfish reasons and doubting God's provision. Some people consult a Feng Shui manual or go have their fortunes read in a Taoist temple to find ways to let the power of wealth overtake them or to avoid misfortunes. They also want to try and avoid calamities all the time even when that's not even possible. Others also join the Freemasons for powerful connections in businesses never mind that it's really an occult organization. These are all linked to the love of money or power which the Bible warns if the root of all evil (1 Timothy 6:10). After all wasn't it the desire for power that led Adam and Eve to sin in the Garden of Eden?

The principle of the occult goes against the Bible. Some forms of fortune telling attempts to know the dates and times but the Bible says otherwise (Acts 1:7). It's utterly foolish to believe a Feng Shui calendar that will tell you the lucky and unlucky dates. It may even override one's God-given critical thinking. One may find one's self doing activities that shouldn't be done on a certain day all because the Feng Shui calendar or the horoscope manual said it's lucky to do that activity on that certain day. You may find someone buying stocks when the prices are high or holding a wedding while there's strong typhoon going on.

Any true Christian would know the foolishness of getting involved in astrology. They have the Bible and they consult it. The Bible may not give future dates, it may not help you find ways to become a billionaire in the worldly sense, trusting the Bible may even put you in the worst situations that this temporal life has to offer but it's definitely more reliable than astrology. The Bible has been verified by history and science yet people still choose not to believe it. To think you can have both Bible and your astrology at the same time is a contradiction. Besides, you can't even think of yourself as a Christian if you think you need astrology to keep your life in order. Astrology is of the Devil and it always was and always will be.
