It can be seen and observed that MANY radical atheists are actually dreaming of a place where there are no Christians, where all are at the same level and it's filled with God-rejecters. Well there's ONE place and it ain't any atheist state like China, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam or North Korea- where Christianity will progress despite persecution and the Gospel is still being preached despite opposition.
Here's a hint for them Matthew 25:41 saying, "Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:" and that is HELL. And why are there no Christians in Hell? Simple. They accepted the bail that the Lord Jesus Christ had finally given them, they placed their trust in Him and that, for one, John 14:6- they have already taken the ONLY Way to the Father so Christians do not have to go to Hell for their sins- however they still have to answer for their sins at the Judgment Seat. Not so with the unsaved- they have to pay for it in Hell.
So what really makes Hell significant for these guys can be summarized with these points:
1.) Atheists really know there is a God but they reject Him continually based on their own foolishness they consider as wisdom. Romans 1:21 says, "Because that, when they knew God, they glorified Him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened." Despite the fact that there is all the evidence they saw of God like the wonders of science could not just pop out of chaos, they consider God to be still a fairy tale. That's nothing more than a heart voluntarily hardened like the Pharaoh of the Exodus.
2.) Atheists desire to be away from God. First they reject Him, then they want to be far away from Him as far as possible. God made Hell for that reason. In Luke 16:26, it is mentioned that there is a great gulf fixed between Heaven and Hell that no one can cross to the other side. The gulf is an empty space and it isn't Purgatory. As said in Matthew 25:41, God would say, "Depart from Me." That is be away from His presence and Hell was created for that purpose also for people who desire to be away from His presence FOREVER. In Hell, there will be no more preaching of the Gospel and they are also away from the Christians they called as nut balls and subhumans. Now who's the real fool now when in Hell the fire is not quenched and the worm dies not?
3.) The desire for an equal society without God's presence is answered by sending them to Hell. Aside from being eternally separated from God, it's really an equal society. Satan and his demons don't rule over anybody in Hell. Nobody rules over anybody in Hell. Hell rules OVER the people in it. Think about it- an equal society. Weren't they after all anarchists who didn't want God to rule over them? Weren't they against the rules of society? They will be screaming and in torture that no mortal human has to endure right now, they will continue to hate one another and because of God's absence, there is no relief from all that eternal agony in Hellfire FOREVER AND FOREVER. No airconditioner, no electric fan, no water... all but eternal Hellfire! Hmmm... quite a price to pay for hating God huh?
