Purgatory in Luke 16:19-31?

I was simply aghast to think of how Roman Catholic apologists while accusing me of intellectual dishonesty and faulty private interpretation are the ones guilty of both. Now how is it going? Here are two contrasting views that I've seen between RC faith defender 1 vs. RC faith defender 2 on the story of the rich man and Lazarus.

Defense #1 for Purgatory - Abraham's Bosom is Purgatory

Abraham's bosom is portrayed as Purgatory. Some Roman Catholic faith defenders are honest enough to admit that they think that Abraham's bosom was Purgatory. Why? Actually a fuller look at Catholic teaching would have Purgatory be the state of purging of remaining sins to those who have died in grace. So they try to use Abraham's bosom as a defense for the existence of Purgatory. However what is pretty quirky with this argument is that there is no mention of praying for the soul of Lazarus. However this argument is not as stupid as...

Defense #2 for Purgatory - The Rich Man was not in Hell but in Purgatory

According to some major Roman Catholic faith defenders, the rich man was not in Hell but in Purgatory. Seriously it's pretty stupid for some good reasons. Well the Greek already has "Hade" or Hell, or Gehenna as spelled out in some Roman Catholic Bibles. According to some top Roman Catholic faith defenders, they have really added and deleted to God's Word. In the first place, the Greek text has the rich man in HELL. They argue, "Wait didn't the rich man intercede for his relatives? Wasn't it compassion?"

Actually here's my opinion on the matter which matches with Estus Pirkle's- the rich man was thinking of himself knowing that if his five brothers go to Hell, they'll add to his torment for accusing him that he led them there which could be why the rich man didn't want the five brothers to join him there. In truth, the Greek is clear that the rich man was in Hell so why even change his venue to Purgatory?

Conclusion

As said both are contradictory. It is nothing more than intellectual dishonesty, just taking the Greek to suit their own convenience and to defend such a notion of Purgatory. Again, Hebrews 9:27 is clear that prayers for the dead can't save them because that judgment is FINAL.
