What Happens When Christian Education Uses Carnal Means to Get Students?

It has come to my mind when a fellow Baptist pastor was criticizing another Baptist pastor for being "too strict". What was being pointed out that the latter was criticized by the former for being "too military" like disallowing children to run around and shout, prohibiting stuff like Harry Potter to the students, not allowing women to dress up like the rest of the world, etc. Another bad situation was that when a supposedly Baptist family ended up fighting a Baptist school's administration for being "harsh" towards answering back to authority, not allowing boyfriend-girlfriend relationships and stuff like that. With those things in mind, I could dare question them saying, "I wonder if you people are really saved." As said, true conversion does not permit a Christian to sin all they please.

Christians will fall into sin and do not lose their salvation. However the real proof of eternal security is in the perseverance of the saints or continually living for God like when Peter sinned, he repented of his denial of Christ because he was truly saved. True saints of God do not completely or totally fall away, rather they will endure to the end by God's grace. Some people may live like Lot, Samson and Solomon but we can see some distinctions. Solomon was miserable in his sin, Lot vexed a lot because of the sins of Sodom and even if Samson had flirted with Philistine women thrice in his life (his first wife, a harlot in Gaza and Delilah) he still carried the duty God wanted for him. Not so quite with Judas Iscariots who are inevitably going to be cut down forever.

It made me think that this is as serious as what preachers like Pastor Paul David Washer and Pastor John F. MacArthur had pointed out Charles Haddon Spurgeon's warning of clowns entertaining goats. This is dead serious that after the infiltration of the Church with false teachers, Christian education suffers next! This is a dead serious deal especially with the fact that Christian educators are supposedly out for watch of the following deadly trends that is basically Satan's attempt to destroy Christian education:
  • Watered-down preaching that really attempts to soften the message like removal of repentance of sin and Christ's Lordship from preaching.
    • It's no surprise that Paul David Washer has mentioned about him being hated because he upholds a whole picture of the Gospel, not a washed up gospel that the world wants to have. Books like "Revival's Golden Key" by Ray Comfort get easily antagonized for their eye opening content that we all need to read. That is the major problem of easy-believist philosophy which can lead to deadly Antinomianism or teaching that a Christian can sin all the please which is not a true conversion. In fact, they find books like "The Gospel According to Jesus" to be plain offensive.
  • Weak disciplinary system is another problem.
    • Allowing children to run around and shout, not scolding them when they misbehave and outlawing spanking by the paddle is crazy. Spanking has been considered by secular laws now as child abuse, even the DECS in the Philippines has already given parents the right to sue the educator for spanking their children which is really, really crazy. If they want child abuse then talk about the teacher who beats up the student and insults them. Spanking is meant to hit the seat of education with a paddle. In America before the paddle was removed, their school system was way safer but not ever since it got removed, their schools private or public are now war zones especially now the Bible is outlawed thanks to Jesuit infiltration. Allow these to happen and we'll be breeding a lot of Hitlers, Husseins and Ghadaffys out of the youth!
  • Separation from the world is not emphasized.
    • The evidence of this happening is when students are starting to dress like the world, evolution is taught as a fact and in harmony with Genesis rather than teaching students why evolution isn't science. I also began to think about also how these schools are occupied by materialistic pleasures, tolerance of worldly music in the campuses instead of making people listen only to spiritual music, having graduation balls in expensive places, the school is usually enrolled by the rich and teachers can be very corrupt like changing failing marks to passing marks out of money, non-expulsion of school bullies whose parents give a lot of money and in short ran by worldliness. Maybe I should mention ecumenism like Roman Catholic priests (especially from the Jesuit Order) entering and promoting the false kind of unity that Rick Warren and Billy Graham want between Evangelicals and Roman Catholics like the ECT document. It makes me sick!

What might be fully ignored is this- Christian education is not supposed to be popular with the world, it is supposed to do what God wants to be done even if the whole world disagrees as truth is never changed by a majority vote of mankind. I could care less if people call be a "Communist" or "Nazi" because of my stand for the Bible- the truth remains unchanged. Matthew 7:13-14 warn that there are more going to Hell than there are to Heaven, few there be that find the right path. The way to life is a narrow road not like the wide road to destruction. John 15:18-19 warns that Christians are not of the world, the world hates them and the world loves their own therefore it hates them. It makes me think that if a Christian school is supposedly gaining popularity for the wrong stuff like being liberated, high class and worldly, that sounds a red alarm. These kinds of schools are basically starving genuine Christians while tolerating wolves and goats to enter.

Christian educators must be prepared to face persecution and trials. God did not promise His children that they will be free from difficulties- I've suffered from being conned by a friend, I've had my own fair share of trials and in fact, nobody must preach a Madison Avenue Jesus. No, that's not the Christ I know. God will certainly allow His children to face affliction and trials like sickness and financial burdens to remind them they are not of the world. As said, the time to stand firm is here. Biblical spanking must be carried out even of the DECS says it's child abuse, worldliness must never prevail even if a Christian school can risk in shutting down- in fact a Christian education should be Christ-centered, not world-centered or self-centered!
