What Part of Hebrews 9:27 Can't the Roman Catholic Understand?

There's always the problem of Roman Catholics who are actually saying masses for the eternal repose of the souls of people.  Some of them actually claim that their late friends and relatives are in "Purgatory" suffering and are in need of masses so they won't fall into Hell and enter into Heaven.  They claim that Hebrews 9:27 does not dismiss Purgatory while it really does.  So how does Hebrews 9:27 actually throw Purgatory out of the window because it's a lie?  Simple... they have died and yet they claim the people need more masses to enter Heaven and not to fall into Hell.  But the Bible is clear ONCE DEAD, THEY ARE PASSED TO JUDGMENT FOREVER.  Those who die in Christ are going to Heaven, everybody else is going to Hell.  In fact Jesus warned in John 14:6 is that He is the ONLY Way.  Problem is the world hates that kind of preaching!

Here's the reality- this is really nothing more than forgiveness for sale.  Anthony Pezzotta had this to say,  "I have observed that wealthy Roman Catholics have many masses said for them in several different cathedrals after they die.  I have observed that the poor do not.  They simply cannot afford it!  Do you think that a holy God would endorse such a scheme?  How does such a practice reflect on the justice of God?"  In fact, it's no wonder why Martin Luther launched the huge campaign that forgiveness is NOT for sale and it's a free gift.  Martin Luther protested against the whole sinister system that promised forgiveness for sale.  In fact no matter how many masses are said, these people will STILL BE IN HELL.  Even if I do offer Masses for these "forgotten souls" there is NOTHING that it can do.  In fact, every lost sinner will still be in Hell!

A greater example can be found in Luke 16:19-31 with the story of the rich man and Lazarus.  Some Catholic apologists have now actually dared to say that the rich man was in Purgatory because the translation of Hell in the Good News Bible is "Gehenna" yet Gehenna is merely another word for Hell.  However when examining the story, we see the rich man was NOT asking Abraham for more masses but rather, he is asking for Lazarus to warn his five brothers about Hell.  How does that fit in with Purgatory?  None and notice that it is the dead praying for the living, not the other way around.  In fact, it's a sad thing it's being said in some Roman Catholic services yet they don't get it's message.  That's a sad reality!
