Debunking The Idea That Jesus Would Support Same Sex "Marriage"

I am so disgusted to think how some "Evangelical" preachers not only work with the Vatican but some of them even support the idea that Jesus would support same sex marriage.  One of the worst out of context preaching ever done is by Matthew Vines, some of them even just say, "Well it's only in Leviticus, that's Old Testament!"  I really am appalled by their refusal to take the Bible not only int context but the setting or analyze the Old Testament's application and renewal in the New Testament.  It's plain willful ignorance if you ask me and Matthew Vines is one sick, perverted preacher who doesn't even know what he is talking about.

In Matthew 19:3-9 and Mark 10:2-12 we read the passage on how Jesus defined marriage.  Homosexuals will say, "It's just about divorce, not homosexuality.  Jesus never mentioned gay marriage."  This is the fallacy of the argument of silence where you assume that if a person never spoke against it or about it, they don't believe it.  Jesus said that He came to fulfill the Law, not get rid of it and if He would support homosexual unions, He would not be fulfilling the Law (Matthew 5:17).  The whole idea of marriage was between one man and one woman to become one flesh.  Remember he said, "One man and one woman." and He didn't insert "one man to one man, one woman to one woman."

If they have their "It's just Leviticus." then they should allow Leviticus 18's sexual immorality (incest laws) to come to pass.  Not surprisingly, a list of pornographic videos even offer incest, pedophilia, homosexuality and bestiality as part of the menu of sinful viewing.  If Jesus would have supported same sex marriage, He would be going against the will of His Father.  If you want to know this, the whole Book of Leviticus was not thrown out entirely.  What was fulfilled and no longer required is the Ceremonial Law but the Moral Law stays the same.  If you think about it, if we are to really get rid of Leviticus entirely then here's what we must condone to doing also aside from sins I have previously mentioned - then it's time to condone revenge, fortune telling, murder, dishonoring parents, bestiality, pedophilia and unjust scales (that is to give punishment more than it's due).  Remember that while Leviticus is mostly ceremonial law, it still holds the moral law as well.

If you think Jesus would have approved of same sex marriage just because He didn't directly state it or some say, "The sin of Sodom was inhospitality, not homosexuality." type of argument, it's time to really go beyond that.  Acts 9:15-16 has Jesus saying, "Go thy way for he (Saul later Paul) is a chosen vessel unto me to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel: For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake."  The writings of Paul would be consistent with the teachings of Jesus.  Romans 1:24-27 has it that homosexuality is a result of degeneracy especially when verse 27 mentions they dishonored themselves with same sex relationships.  1 Corinthians 6:9-10 lists homosexuality as an example of fallen man in need of redemption.  It's really funny how some homosexuals have actually tried to justify their practices with the New Testament without reading it in full context or analyzing the Greek.
