Many Roman Catholics Just Refuse to Hear the Truth

Sorry Unholy Father, you can't change the truth by rejecting it!
I remembered how Roman Catholic apologists can be very rude like they don't want to listen, they purposely cover their ears just to irritate anybody like the caricature of the Pope above. They are told of certain incidents involving Roman Catholic priests and pedophilia... they are quick to sweep it under the rug and repeat the same old lie that Protestant Christians have had more sex scandals. For years after my conversion, I suspected it's been swept under the rug. Remembering Jesus' words that the Pharisees were like white-washed tombs filled with the bones of dead men, the same can go for the Roman Catholic system. The Vatican looks very beautiful on the outside but there are a lot of scandals that have remained hidden for centuries.

As a former Roman Catholic, I remembered why I even got out of Roman Catholicism in the first place. The more I read the Bible, the more I could compare the Roman Catholic priests to the Pharisees and the Pope to Caiaphas. In today's world we have the Pope is Caiaphas and the government of a certain country is Pontius Pilate. When I started to study the Bible, the more I could not agree with the teachings of Roman Catholicism. All they have is nothing more than loose, out-of-context interpretation of the Scriptures. Those who revealed the truth in Scripture suffered violent deaths during the Dark Ages and the Counter-Reformation. They can go ahead and continue to throw their the late Pope John Paul II card (who is now a "saint" in the Catholic pantheon) about the Day of Pardon Mass but that was all a ruse. There is no way that Roman Catholics can be considered Christians based on Scriptural truth. They are just as lost as everyone who trusts in their works to be saved.

Mark 7:9-13 warns about the danger of rejecting God's Word to keep their own manmade traditions. In a hasty attempt to justify their tradition, Roman Catholic apologists are quick to cite 2 Thessalonians 2:15 and 3:6 to justify their heresy. However both Scriptures are taken out of context or two, the meanings have not even been studied. What do you expect from a group of people who misquote Mattehw 16:16-18 to justify that the Pope is the successor of Peter and not of Caiaphas? As a former Roman Catholic, I was always lied to that Peter was the first Pope but the more I read the Bible, the more I realized Catholic tradition did not match with Scripture. The more I read about why the Reformation happened in the first place, the more I rejected Roman Catholicism. The more I read about Baptist church history, the more I am convinced that there's no way a barbaric church such as this could be the true church of Jesus Christ.

I just thought of why the Roman Catholic institution did not even allow Bible reading except it be interpreted by their Pharisees. When I think of the history of Roman Catholic murders that were well-kept - many Pre-Reformation Christians were viciously massacred. When I read of why John Huss was murdered - his only "offense" was that he was a Bible-believing Christian who upheld the Word of God. Why did William Tyndale get executed? His only "crime" was translating the Bible into English. Why did they go against Martin Luther? Martin Luther translated the Bible into German and the Dark Ages started to fall apart all thanks to the rapid spreading of the Word of God. Reading the Foxe's Book of Martyrs - the Roman Catholic institution is indeed drunk with the blood of the true saints of God. They claim to make saints but the only saints of God are those whom He had called and chosen. Much of this information was well-kept by the Vatican but now it is slowly leaked out by some former Roman Catholic priests who have left the system.

I can only think of their willful blindness to the truth is because they are so easily offended. I have noticed how many devoted Roman Catholics are actually very thin-skinned people. Try to open to them the Bible (even if it's from a Roman Catholic translation), even if you do it as gently as possible - some of them are very prone to throwing fits of rage as a result. Not surprisingly I have observed that many predominantly Roman Catholic countries are full of thin-skinned people who are so sensitive to the ugly truth that they must hear. You tell them about their improper garbage disposal or dirty habits, be ready to be scorned. That's why I don't even get a bit surprised that such people would hate to be given a proper exposition and explanation of the Bible. Their hearts are still so hardened against sin that it must first be broken. I am not all that surprised either to read more about the Spanish Inquisition and the Jesuit Order. When I read of the accounts of Protestant martyrs and Baptist martyrs they have really done nothing wrong but to speak the truth from God's Word. The Bible when taken in context is very offensive towards the unsaved person.

Worse, Jeremiah 5:31 still continues today. Whenever I read the Book of Jeremiah and the newspapers, I do not even get a bit surprised at the spiritual condition of people. The Roman Catholic institution is no different than any other cult claiming to be Christian. With historical facts gathered from one corner to another- Roman Catholicism is the biggest spoof or parody of Christianity known to man. It's not real Christianity - just show business. When I think of pastors who rule by their means, of prophets that prophesy falsely and people loving to have it so - a lot of these false pastors and false prophets are controlled by the Vatican. Most of these bogus preachers and prophets are mostly Jesuit cooperatives. The Jesuit Order as the biggest most elite order of Pharisees and they keep their power by sugar-coating the truth with poisonous lies. Is it any wonder why Jeremiah 5:31 addresses the biggest dilemma is "my people love to have it so". The Jesuits ahve done a very good job in keeping people in their power - not by direct bloodshed but by subtle but dangerous Jesuit deception which people will keep coming back for more.

I've also noticed how many Roman Catholics have the system that they can sin from Mondays to Saturdays, go to the Confessional, pay for indulgences, receive Communion then after Sunday it's time rinse and repeat. When I think of why a certain Roman Catholic man does not want to get saved, he may also be somebody who is continuing in his immoral lifestyle such as womanizing, gambling, getting drunk and the like to make him the worldly definition of a real man. The same can go for the religious adulteress who goes to Mass with her paramour or as a paramour. When they are told about getting saved, I expect to hear something like, "Well I don't want to go with a group of killjoys like you. You Baptists are so backward especially you don't allow your women to dress in spaghetti straps, your schools are very low class, you are all too strict like you don't allow your children to run around, you even dare to judge me for going out with another man's wife." So much for having Roman Catholics who can say something like, "Baptists are immoral people. Their teaching that salvation is by faith alone is nothing more than a license to sin. We are indeed teaching true holiness because we teach salvation can be lost. Eternal security is nothing more than a license to sin." making them a group of self-contradictory hypocrites.

It takes patience to actually win a Roman Catholic to Jesus. It just reminded me of how much I hated Bible study because as a Roman Catholic, I wasn't encouraged to read the Bible. When I opened a Catholic Bible and started to read it, the more I realized I was in deep trouble and I didn't want to do anything with it because the truth of sin and that God is holy is far more horrifying than anything. I called the Bible as something I really hated to read until I was converted to born again Christianity. Before the King James Bible was released in 1611 the Roman Catholic Church only had the Latin Bible. The earlier Reformers such as John Calvin, Martin Luther and Huldrych Zwingli only had a Roman Catholic translation of the Bible (which may explain why they still embraced the error of Mary staying as a virgin) which were either the Latin Vulgate, Sinaticus and Vaticanus based. Getting saved meant getting regenerated and loving to read God's Word, fretting over sin, continued repentance and the desire to fellowship with other believers. It's best not to argue, show them the Gospel and let the Holy Spirit do His work.
