Never Say It's Just a Little Sin!

Many times we think that what's small won't kill but many times, we fail to see that what's small may also kill.  A small leak sinks a big ship.  A small spark can set a forest or a neighborhood or even a city on fire.  Likewise, sin even if it's just small damns the person for all eternity.  Words can't describe how heinous sin is and why it must be hated and why people require salvation from it.  Nobody can say, "But LORD it was just a small sin!" on Judgment Day.  Instead, He'll say what He said in Matthew 7:23 to let such people depart from Him, He never knew them because they weren't saved to start with.

Do you know how severe even one tiny sin is?  One sin was enough to damn the human race.  Adam and Eve didn't have to murder anybody nor do all the sin they wanted.  All they had to do was just commit that just one sin.  Likewise, everyone on this Earth is condemned even for just one sin that they commit.  Romans 5:12-14 warns that it was by Adam that sin came into the world.  You can't say, "Well that's just one sin."  Not in God's eyes.  Every sin is sin and it's a huge cosmic treason against His very holiness.

Are you sure you can keep the perfect standard of God oh sinner?  Romans 3:10-19 and James 2:10-11 has everyone in the guilty list.  1 Corinthians 6:9-10 declares no unrighteous person shall enter the Kingdom of God.  The bottom line is you aren't righteous.  You are not righteous enough by God's standard to enter Heaven.  This is the sad reality of the total depravity of mankind that they can't save themselves from their sins.  You can't expect a helpless person to save himself or herself from his predicament either.

Do you know why so many people reject salvation by faith alone in Jesus Christ?  It's because their pride makes them think that it's just one sin, it won't matter and many people who are self-righteous are also very sinful in their lifestyles.  Many religious people today also sin all they want while doing acts of righteousness to "make up for it".  No, it can't work that way because only Jesus Christ can truly save people from their sins, not sinful people saving themselves from their sins.
