When Do Baptists (Or Any Other Christians) Become Guilty of a Hate Crime?

Like it or not, there comes a time when Baptists or any other kind of Christian (ex. Evangelical) become GUILTY of a hate crime.  We am NOT referring to the spoof Baptist churches like Westboro Baptist or Landover Baptist (a parody Baptist organization that ended up becoming a cult in the long run that adds works to being saved) but to saved Baptists and their non-Baptist brethren in Christ.  We would like to define what a hate crime is to begin with namely, "To incite prejudice or hatred against people solely because of religion, race, gender or disability".  To start with preaching the Gospel truth of salvation through faith alone in Jesus Christ and telling them their religion is a lie is NOT a hate crime, on the other hand, Baptist organizations can be guilty of a hate crime in some of these situations:

Note: Some truly saved pastors can be very abrasive as well but not as abrasive as most of the works salvationists.  May we pray that Christians will not do these activities below.

  1. Forcing people to listen to the Gospel through means that can injure anybody like threatening them with a punch or a sharp object (for example) if they don't listen or tying them down so they will listen.
  2. Making caricatures of false teachers such as a cartoon to be shown that would make fun of them.  This is not only childish but also improper way of exposing false doctrine. Plus, false teachers expose themselves, their doctrine exposes them when their doctrines are refuted so as much as possible, names need not be mentioned because most of them are on the same boat, only their way of teaching it is different.
  3. After the Gospel is rejected, a witness decides to fight with the person being witnessed to.  Believers are encouraged to pray for Gospel rejecters not to fight with them.
  4. Refusing to lend a helping hand to an unbeliever especially if they had witnessed to that person.  Remember God demonstrated His love for sinners that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ to die for the ungodly and NOBODY is exempt from that list. (Romans 5:5-8)
  5. When a Christian businessman refuses to let a Muslim eat in his Middle Eastern food restaurant  for simply being a Muslim or he purposely serves pork (which he normally won't serve because of the nature of the food) to a Muslim customer to make them angry.  This is different from sharing the Gospel with a Muslim that Allah is not God and that Jesus is God Almighty.
  6. Purposely eating meat in front of Catholics during the Lenten season to make fun of them.
  7. Rioting in places of worship like how devoted Muslims do so to Christians.  Two wrongs never makes a right.  An example would be to preach inside their places of worship.
  8. Bullying homosexuals.  Homosexuality is wrong but so is bullying.  It's this kind of abrasive attitude that has been making it hard to reach out to homosexuals.  Homosexuals as sinful as they are should be given the tough, uncompromising message straight but NEVER by force.
  9. A public Koran burning session as a means to agitate Muslims rather than preaching to them the Gospel straight.  True the Koran are NOT God's Word and we hate it here but the only Koran burning that should be done should be by former Muslims turned Christians only.
  10. Labeling every Muslim to be a terrorist when they are not.Yes Islam is a lie but Muslims are just as lost sinners as every other lost sinner who needs to know Jesus Christ.
  11. Thanking God for the death of certain people.
  12. Praying for the death of sinful entertainers rather than their salvation.  As much as pornography, violence and gore are sinful but to pray that sinful entertainers will die and burn to Hell is totally hateful.  What about 2 Peter 3:9?  Honestly speaking while these sinners live, God wants them to come to Him and His Son the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.

However we also discourage from preaching a watered down Gospel too.  It's normal for Christians to be labeled as haters and the like because they are intolerant to the doctrine of many ways to Heaven.  Difference is Christians SHOULD NOT force their beliefs upon others, they leave to God the fate of the person and pray for the person's salvation while not being watered down at the same time.  We encourage that sin be preached against, to be shown on what sin is, how they CANNOT save themselves and the solution that is in Jesus Christ without using any force or abrasiveness.
