Jesus Christ is the Lord of EVERY Christian
Here's one fact that can't be denied by EVERY Christian including the babes in Christ and those who may have backslid that Jesus Christ is their Lord indeed. It's that Lordship that makes the backslider repent (because of his/her state as being saved) and it also makes the babe in Christ grow in grace. However, the word "LORD" is being misappropriated and used as a means to teach works salvation and some even use the word lordship salvation when it should be used for these clowns as lordship of works salvation. However this is NOT the case when it's preached as receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. First and foremost, it is the stand of this blog ministry that a Christian CANNOT lose their salvation. However it is no license to sin either. Also, it would be impossible to be a Christian and not even bearing one good fruit. The Lord saved men to serve, not to sin. If Jesus is not your Lord and Master, then He never became your Savior in the first place. That means, they wereNOT SAVED TO START WITH IN THE FIRST PLACE!
The reality is that when a person gets saved and receives the Lord Jesus Christ into their hearts and lives as their Savior (which technically is a surrender in which a person gives himself/herself up and the Lord Jesus Christ receives them just as they are and they are confident He will receive them as they are), they recognize Him to be the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Everywhere in the apostolic writings, whenever salvation was declared, Jesus was recognized to be Lord. Matthew 16:18-18, Peter confessed that Jesus Christ is Lord before he was appointed as the first pastor of the Christian Church and later in Acts 2, he was declaring Jesus as the Lord in Acts 2:21-36. In Acts 9:5- Saul before becoming Paul recognizes Jesus as Lord. In Acts 16:31 the apostle Paul says, "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved and thy house." The Greek word for Lord here is "Kurious" or "Supreme in Authority" which also acknowledges the very divinity of Christ. The word Lord appears to describe Jesus Christ throughout the New Testament, in which no Christian will ever deny their Lord. So technically in salvation, a person receives Jesus Christ as Lord as well because He is the Lord of salvation and He commands ALL to receive Him or perish (John 3:16-18).
So it's really overly impossible that Jesus Christ is Savior while Satan is their lord because either Jesus is your Lord or Satan is your lord. It's because they are saved from their sins that would have had damned them (Matthew 1:21) plus, every Christian is a new creature and old things are passed away (2 Corinthians 5:19), the work of God continues in the believer until the day of redemption (Ephesians 4:30, Philippians 2:13) and that it's once a Christian, always a Christian and there are NO ex-Christians (John 10:16-28, 2 John 2:19). Please note that 1 Timothy 2:13 does not refer to an ex-believer but rather that a believer can still have certain doubts but remain saved, it's more of an emotional issue but the person is still a Christian nonetheless. Titus 2:11-15 is plain and simple- Christians as a result of their salvation will MAKE THEM HATE SIN. They hate sin so much they are ashamed when they fall into sin and that their carnality is NOT as carnal as the rest of the world- in fact they'll be on their knees to beg Jesus to take their carnality away!
Also obedience is an inevitable and a natural result of salvation by grace through faith (John 8:47, John 10:26). Obedience to the Lord Jesus Christ is a result of salvation not a maintenance factor. Ephesians 2:10 and Titus 2:11-15 shows the very inevitable result of salvation - a life of good works and the Lordship of Christ in the lives of EVERY believer. Hebrews 12:5-6 says that the Lord will chastise them for they are His. Hebrews 9:11-12 says that the blood of Jesus is SO POWERFUL that it will give a new outlook in life that cannot be denied that even the most habitual sinner will forsake his/her sinful lifestyle because they love the Lord and they belong to Him. Because it washes away sins, therefore a new life is ALWAYS expected to happen. Please do note that Hebrews 5:9 DOES NOT teach works salvation rather the results of salvation.
Anybody can say they are Christian BUT if their lives they continue to live like the world, buy one heresy after the other and still LOVE to sin, they are really not saved to start with. Anybody can claim they have Jesus but their life shows it. Christians fall into sin... yes... but love sin... no. On the other hand, many of them are ironically also followers of a works-based religion to where works salvation is nothing more than a serious series of flaws.
