List of Crimes That Should Be Punishable By Death

Since the moral law of the New Testament supports the death penalty but not for every crime, here are some crimes that really suit the death penalty ONCE FOUND GUILTY by the criminal courts:

1.) Murdering people

It's obvious that murder is a heavy crime especially if it's acts of genocide and homicide. Unless murderers are executed, the crime will continue to escalate. Genesis 9:6 is still applicable to the New Testament.

2.) Drug dealing

Every person found guilty should really be executed. Why? Narcotics are indeed a source of many disasters and deaths. Many young people have died young thanks to narcotics. By the way, those who sell hard liquor should be included as well.

3.) Massive plunder

Right now, plunder cases are very common especially in the form of swindle and bloody bank robberies. America's banks have suffered from one major bank heist after the other, many times or more often the masterminds are usually sentenced to life imprisonment rather than being executed which will just cause them to later move out. Also, many bank robberies have murdered several bank employees. Just think of the families of the bank employees who got murdered.

4.) Human trafficking

This is a direct violation of human rights. The Bible calls for death sentence to those who do human trafficking in Exodus 21:16 and Deuteronomy 24:7. This has been one of the major sources of breaking up family and losing loved ones especially when they are killed for organ harvesting.

5.) Perjury that is intent on getting an innocent person executed

Deuteronomy 19:18-19 calls for the death of false witnesses who have falsely testified against anybody. God's call for death penalty did not only go against the offenses above but also against perjury. The punishment for false witnesses who intend to get an innocent person to be punished was to be put away as detestable and evil. Another reason why death penalty today is not working is because fraudulent witnesses are hardly punished and there is no proper examination.
