A Worldly View of Christmas is FATAL POISON

Here's a reality- Christmas had its pagan origins because December 25th was addressed as the birthday of Mithra.  However going back to ancient Babylon, there was also really no definite birthday for the child god Tammuz and depending on the culture, each one had a different birthday for their specific false gods.  There is nothing wrong with celebrating Christmas if Christmas want to honor John 3:16 and celebrate it as an opportunity to soul win people to Jesus Christ with GENUINE GOSPEL PREACHING.

However the problems with Christmas is because of the worldly view can be seen with:
  • Santa Claus- Replacing the Lord Jesus with an inferior being who but comes once a year and has to ask for your names!  This view is a very big breeding ground for worldliness and atheism.  Many atheists who were once pseudo-Christians said they stopped believing God exists when they found out that there is NO Santa Claus.  As said, there is no Santa Claus.  It's all a demonic hoax like the list of non-existent Popes and saints of Catholicism.  Jesus is the all year round Lord and Savior, you don't have to fall in line to see Him, He provides all your needs and best of all, He is the only One who can save the person's soul from eternal damnation which change a person's way of living.  The lie of Santa Claus is nothing more than promoting the system of WORKS SALVATION!
  • Christmas parties that don't glorify God- There is nothing wrong with parties but these days, parties can create some negative connotations to the mind of the believer.  Being eternally secure in Christ, Christians as a result of being saved feel bad about sin because God works in them (Philippians 2:13, Titus 2:11-15).  Christians who enter into bad parties are most likely to feel VERY BAD or even lose their cool when they see things are spiraling out of control.  Why is it so?  Many parties today involve the sinful nature of booze, sexual lewdness (ex. chauvinism, homosexuality, orgies), drunkenness and all sorts of worldly behavior come to mind.  Jesus is not even mentioned at all.

Here's some reality that are results of the worldly view of Christmas:
  • Suicide rates are much higher because people expect miracles on Christmas when they don't really happen.  Also suicide is a reality that usually hits most of the unsaved world and it's very hard to think if a Christian should ever commit suicide.
  • High traffic accidents.  To be honest, I hate driving and getting transportation during Christmas. People rush for the Christmas shopping and for their children to see "Santa Claus" (who's nothing more than a man in a suit) which really causes trouble.  So many also die and go to Hell thanks to these high traffic accidents.
  • It also promotes more immorality.  People tend to beg authorities to be lenient on Christmas like how students believe they can get away with cutting classes just because it's Christmas.  It has resulted to awful traffic jams, people who just can't save their money and the list can go on.  It's no wonder why some people have a lot of headaches during the supposedly jolly season.
  • Not to mention also firecracker injuries.  Come Christmas, come New Year and the hospitals will be filled with SO MUCH injuries and maybe abortions due to fornication.
  • There are much orgies and drunkenness.  Also there might be belated sacrifices to Baal because of people getting pregnant during wild sex parties.
  • Worse, it rejects the Lord Jesus Christ.  True.  A love for sin is one of the many reasons why people refuse to get saved.  They don't want to depart from it.  They know that if they receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, their lives will change.  Change happens in the life of the believer and the foolish don't want it to happen to them!

However we are also here avoiding the genetic fallacy that just because December 25 is the birthday of Sol and not Jesus Christ (nobody knows His real birthday) or that it also has its origins from Catholicism, that the celebration is wrong.  What becomes wrong is not based on the fact that one religious group practices it but God's Word says so.  Martin Luther broke out the Reformation on October 31 which was Halloween a satanic holiday.
