Sinners Can Fool the World with Their External Piety But NEVER God
The problem today is that there are unsaved sinners who think they can fool the world with their "good guy/girl" appearance, pretending to be kindly and all. It's just like the Pharisees who appeared to be model citizens and likewise there are also people who today may appear to be model citizens, donate huge amounts of money, show high degrees of piousness, talk much about morals and sweet talk people but in reality they are but a bunch of hypocrites with a lot of sin either behind or exposed. As Jesus said in Matthew 7:16-20 that a good tree doesn't bear bad fruit nor a bad tree good fruit, grapes do not come from thorns or figs from thistles- that by the fruits they can be known. So what kind of secret life can be revealed? Now take a look at these examples:
1.) The dirty secret life of many works salvation preachers especially the conditional security crowd.
Conditional security and works salvation go hand in hand as one believes in the use of one's own effort to do good works to get saved and to stay saved. But the hypocrisy of it is in how many of these works salvation preachers have a very abrasive personality and are highly chaotic. But all I can say is, that exposes them for the fraud they are- they don't have to be exposed one by one. Some of them are even
2.) The so-called charitable model citizens can reveal how dirty their lives can be.
They may appear to love God but their actions prove otherwise. Titus 1:15-16 warns of people that profess to know God but in action they deny Him. They may donate huge amounts of money to charity, visit the sick, etc. but it's all for show business. Some of these people are actually homosexuals, dirty mouthed scoffers who say a lot of bad words, habitual adulterers that can even be as bad as to be somebody with multiple divorces, homewrecking whores, drug dealers, liquor salesmen, agents of pornography, sluts, advocates of premarital sex is okay and live a braggart attitude. All I can say is their good works are just for before men, for boasting and hoping their good works will cover their sins or in the case of the God hating atheist, to show the world you can be a "good person" while rebelling against God. However James 2:10-11 is clear that if you just break even one of God's rules, you've broken them all!
3.) The followers of false religion are also part of Titus 1:15-16 as well as Matthew 23.
They may appear to be model citizens and are the religious leaders of model citizens. However Jesus denounced the external goodness of the Pharisees with their actions. Notice how Jesus exposed their good works to be nothing more than a sham for the public to be deceived, not because they are genuine good people but a group of people who attempt their work their way to Heaven while their sinful lives show how incapable men are of saving themselves. Today you've got the Roman Catholic priesthood while claiming to be holy men and mediators between God and men sadly tainted with scandals especially the worldwide problem of priests molesting women and as of current, a majority of priests turned out to be homosexuals who rape their altar boys or how Muslims while being seemingly the way of peace with their doing good works however endorse violence against Christians everywhere.
As said, God records everything. They may get away and leave the impressions they are "good persons" despite this and that fact that proves they are very degenerate but they cannot fool God. God will expose such people to be workers of iniquity on Judgment Day in Matthew 7:21-23. That's why I've been passing the Chick tract "This Was Your Life" to show people just how lost they are.
