Going Against Booze and Narcotics is NOT Stupid
Some people say that narcotics and booze should be legalized. Are you kidding me? Now while any sensible person can be open to the MEDICAL use of marijuana, however they should NEVER be used for recreation. There is a problem with narcotics and booze when you think about the process things undergo to.
Somebody may say that if I propose that narcotics and liquor should be considered in the ban list, why then do I not ban air and water? This is a serious categorical mistake considering that air and water are necessities while booze and narcotics are not. Now the issue of why booze and narcotics should be banned is because of the problem of the inherent excess of something in them. An analogy may be why junk food is junk, it's because junk food contains too much salt that while salt is good for you, too much of it is bad for you.
Let's take at the instances of why they have the problem of excess in both narcotics and booze:
I remembered how more often than not, a former drug addict (who I can only fondly remember as "Mark") had always spoken at Bethany Christian School to the effects of narcotics and how it ruined him. He also explained the manufacturing process to how the chemical change becomes something harmful to the body. He had explained that a real war on drugs is not entirely dependent on the authorities but it can start with the person.

Let's take at the instances of why they have the problem of excess in both narcotics and booze:
- In narcotics, you might consider the problem is if it contains too much of pain-killing elements or it's an unhealthy dose. The process has been specifically made that it goes through the necessary chemical change in order to create that addictive effect. Painkillers are not inherently sinful but too much of them can make a person go crazy like how dope and shabu works.
- You might consider that some drugs may contain more marijuana and opium than usual which leads to a deadly effect. Both herbs are to be used only for medical uses never for recreational uses. While marijuana in moderation can kill cancer cells but smoking it is just as bad as smoking tobacco.
- Liquor itself contains too much alcohol. Did you know it takes some art to increase the alcohol content in wine? Grape juice does contain the healthy amount of alcohol for the heart and nerves to be relaxed and to function properly and two, it does not get a person drunk even if a person may drink an entire glass of it compared to whiskey or gin. The problem is not whether the drink relaxes the nerves but rather, whether or not if the drink is too relaxing.

How can a real drug war be conducted as opposed to the secular drug wars around the world? Here's what I can propose to win the drug war and remember the battle against drugs is not against flesh and blood but against the principalities of the world:
- Invite former drug addicts and drunkards who are now saved from the sin of drugs and have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior to orient people of the ill effects of narcotics.
- Open anti-drug campaigns and anti-liquor in schools and other places to how narcotics are produced and why they are harmful. One should also explain that drugs are indeed a result of too much of something that should be helpful and that too much of anything is not good for the system.
- Christians who can open a rehabilitation center should open one and start bringing drug addicts to Jesus Christ. Forget about secular rehabilitation... most of the people there just return to their vomit. If drug addicts can be brought to Jesus Christ a genuine conversion while it may not make them sinless, it would certainly free them from the bondage of drugs.
