How to Continue the Reformation Until Jesus Christ Comes Again

Happy 500th anniversary of the Reformation! But should the Reformation end at 500 after today ends and next year God-willing the 501st anniversary will be celebrated? Absolutely not. While I do believe that the 500 years of the Reformation is already a sign that Jesus Christ could be coming soon but I could be wrong. Since we do not know when He is coming should it not be the time to be ready all the time? The Reformation did not happen because the Church supposedly fell into apostasy but because the true Church was at war with the Roman Catholic institution. The Roman Catholic institution claims to be the Church founded last 33 A.D. all the while she is adding her own unbiblical traditions with Scripture when the Biblical formula is all Church traditions must come from Scripture. So how can the Reformation be continued until the Lord Jesus Christ comes again? It is time to get serious and enumerate how the Reformation can continue for the greater glory of God (and no, the Jesuit

Halloween is Also Another Attempt to Counter the Reformation

As the 500th anniversary of the Reformation draws near, it would be good to discuss about one of Satan's ways to counter the truth. This time it's Halloween which also happens on October 31 which is the day when the Reformation started. What should be interesting is that when Martin Luther nailed the 95 Theses (not 95 Reese's) on the Door of Wittenburg it was October 31. October 31 is referred to as All Hallow's Eve and the next two days are November 1 or All Saints' Day and November 2 or All Souls' Day. It was a good time to sell indulgences. The sinister Johann Tetzel a Dominican friar was using the indulgences or forgiveness for sale. Masses for the dead were frequently said hoping that those who died in grace can enter into Heaven. It is because the Roman Catholic system believes that if you died in a state of grace you must first enter into Purgatory before Heaven. Today, we have the secular holiday called Halloween. Most people think Halloween is jus

The Evangelicals and Catholics Together or ECT Movement is Part of Continuing the Counter-Reformation

Image
Make no mistake that having the Evangelicals and Catholics Together (ECT) movement is part of continuing the Counter-Reformation. The history of the Counter-Reformation also included the Jesuits who were involved in arranging for the demise of the Reformation. But the tactics have changed from brutal bloody force to infilitration. Today, the history of the Inquisition is almost well-covered up that the average Roman Catholic today believes it's just a myth invented to destroy unity. So why was the Second Vatican Council created? It's announced as a time of healing. I could even remember the time John Paul II held the Day of Pardon Mass during his papacy. When he died his successor the resigned Benedict XVI also continued the same process. It involved dialogue with various religious groups. What also shocked me was to realize that several pastors who I once admired turned out to be pro-Vatican. Martin Luther King Jr. was also openly ecumenical and had an audience with Paul VI.

Continuing the Reformation Means Continuing the Biblical Tradition of Church Discipline

It's very easy to heckle on cultists when they sin but one question that should be asked is, "Do we bother to do church discipline?" This is the truth that faces everyone from pastors to the laity. Whether you like it or not there will always be cases of backsliding believers. Although they may not enjoy their sin but you can't deny there is still sin to deal with. The Old Testament prophets were part of restoring the backslid believer A good example is Psalm 51 where King David a man after God's own heart committed adultery with a much younger woman in Bathsheba (1 Samuel 11). The whole book of Ecclesiastes deals with how wise King Solomon acknowledged his foolishness. King Solomon who established a golden age ended up leading from revival to ruin by his polygamous marriages with heathen women and the wrong alliances. We also read of how wise King Jehoshaphat made a foolish alliance with Ahab (2 Chronicles 18). There's a reason why God sent prophets a

The Difference Between Faith Results to Good Works vs. Adding Faith to Good Works

There's a huge argument between the Papists and the Reformers about what authentic faith is. The stand isn't just merely between Papists and the Reformers as it goes as far as Papists, anti-Catholic cults and the true born again Christians (Protestant or not) on what James means by faith without works is dead. Is James saying that in order to get saved or to stay saved that you must add faith to good works? Perhaps one reason why Martin Luther once thought of the Book of James as an epistle of straw was because it felt like the author added good works to saving faith. I remembered having a dialogue with a third degree cousin of mine who was a Roman Catholic apologist. He knew I was a former Catholic turned Baptist. I had a conversation with him and he told me that I should examine the Book of James to see good works are required for justification. The Roman Catholic view as well as the anti-Catholic cultist view tends to use James' writing to justify their heresy. Her
