Praying For Someone's Peaceful Reincarnation is Useless

November 2 is considered as All Soul's Day in the Roman Catholic calendar. It's the time when people must remember to pray for the eternal repose of the souls who have died in Christ because they must still pay for their remaining sins in Purgatory. However, Purgatory is not the only goldmine of religion that one has to deal with. While Purgatory is not about having a second chance after death but it's still a sinister goldmine. Some major religions in the world today teach reincarnation such as Hinduism and Buddhism. What is the concept of reincarnation? It's the doctrine that says that the dead will be reborn in one form or another. It's also linked to the doctrine of karma. It's said that a person can be reincarnated into several forms. It's even said that somebody can be reincarnated into different genders such as a man can be reincarnated into a woman or vice versa. The very concept of reincarnation is taught that after a person spends a certain time ...

The Possibility That the Doctrine of Reincarnation Seeks to Justify the Sin of Homosexuality

Homosexuality is indeed another controversial topic. The doctrine of reincarnation teaches that people can take several forms from animals to different forms as humans. This may even teach that a certain someone used to be of the opposite sex. Here's an interesting excerpt from a New Age article called " Homosexuality and Past Lives ": Other views or interpretations for homosexuality within a past life context but ones that I do not feel are particularly probable is firstly that confusion can occur when a soul changes over from a life as a member of one sex to that of the other. Souls reincarnate not only into different cultures and periods, but also as both men and women, during their many lives. The reincarnating soul could bring with it many of the former characteristics from past personalities and, when these are very strong; they could easily overshadow the new personality .  The sex change may be further complicated if, in the former life, the person had bee...

John the Baptist WAS NOT ELIJAH

There is an ongoing heresy of the New Age movement that teaches that John the Baptist is Elijah reincarnated as the son of Zechariah the priest and his wife Elizabeth. Here are the Scriptures being justified by believers in reincarnation that John the Baptist is Elijah: Malachi 4:5- "Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the LORD:"  Luke 1:17- "And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord." Looking at it, it seems John the Baptist was Elijah being reincarnated. However the Bible is clear in Hebrews 9:27, "For as it appointed unto man ONCE to die but after this the judgment." meaning that, there will be no reincarnation meaning no second chance after death. One can argue that Elijah did not die but went to Heaven, well since he...

Reincarnation Debunked

Reincarnation is the basic teaching that, after a man dies they will be reborn in another form such as another man or another animal, a tree or whatever after having to pass through Purgatory or even Hell- this belief is prevalent in major religious movements like Buddhism and Hinduism to name a few. However the Bible declares no such nonsense. Hebrews 9:27 says, " For as it is appointed unto man ONCE to die but after this the judgment ." So where does reincarnation fall down flat? Here are some of the impracticalities of the belief of reincarnation and how silly it really is: 1.) Reincarnation means an endless cycle denying the end of the physical and going into the eternal. Well, for instance, according to several world religions that after a person has reached a certain level of enlightenment but has yet to reach the level of Nirvana, he/she must return to the physical plane to be reborn or in the case, the wicked are sometimes allowed to reincarnate ...
