Logical Fallacies That May Happen When Debunking False Religion is Prioritized Over Bible Study!

It's becoming a problem among Christian apologists who can easily lose face during a debate because they are putting exposing false religion in front of the Bible like how some have prioritized exposing the Vatican over the Bible.  Yes I do keep an eye on the Vatican but it's always BIBLE FIRST!  So what happens when people don't really put the Bible as the standard for fighting false religion, here's a few examples of errors I have noticed that happen when the Bible is not used as the standard to prove the wrong in false religions:

Ad Hominem:
  • A person can continuously attack the now retired Benedict XVI's Hitler youth past as a basis to why Roman Catholicism is wrong rather than use the Bible's standards vs. Roman Catholic standards to dispute error.

Division:

  • This can lead to finger pointing like an IFB debater can keep talking about priestly scandals never mind debunking the heresies taught about Roman Catholic priesthood.  It is no better than a CFD pointing some pastoral scandals that have happened.

False dilemma:
  • It can happen like saying, "Show me a specific verse in the Bible that says we should pray to Mary or you can't prove it." from the mouth of an IFB debater is no less illogical than a CFD saying, "Show me a specific verse in the Bible that says we shouldn't pray to Mary."  This kind of tactic has led to endless debates.

Genetic fallacy arguments:
  • A conspiracy theorist can immediately judge a person who has graduated from a Roman Catholic university to be immediately a Vatican spy!  
  • One can be immediately made to reject something just because of the source.  For example, one can immediately judge things like paper lanterns, certain theories in Mathematics and martial arts to be immediately pagan because they were made by a pagan civilization.  

Guilt by association arguments:
  • A person can easily get falsely accused and misrepresented to be part of the occult because he or she is doing the "peace sign", the Roman salute, the Cornutto or the Hidden Hand that dictators use.  In fact, that's the sin of immediate judgment.
  • Just because one group does it doesn't mean they are automatically wrong.  The Seventh Day Adventist groups can be so stupid (plus note that they are NOT Christians) have judged Sunday worship to be pagan all because Roman Catholics practice it.  Well Roman Catholics do charity feeding projects but that does not make the charity feeding projects wrong!
  • In trying to prove Catholicism wrong by comparing its similarities like the Mary worship to the Queen of Heaven worship rather than debunking Mary worship by the fact it doesn't match the Bible, then the Christian may have a hard time trying to prove that the virgin birth is not a pagan idea and that the divinity of Christ isn't wrong.  
  • Some anti-Catholic cults try to beat down the deity of Christ by saying that because the Roman Catholic institution believes it then it's wrong.

In fact as said, the standard of God's judgment is NOT other people or beliefs, it is the BIBLE.  In fact, there can be a lot more fallacies.  Want to know how to debunk false religion?  Study the Bible diligently.  The Bible encourages study in 2 Timothy 2:15 to STUDY the Word of God to rightly divide it.  To be honest, I used to be too stuck with updating on the Vatican until I realized I could hardly explain things or two, I got entangled with other heretical groups I shouldn't be hanging around with just because they oppose the Vatican, which does not mean they are automatically Christians.  After focusing on God's Word more than focusing on the lies of the Devil, I have become more confident in debunking heresies.  Also debates are just a waste of time people spinning around in circles to no end.  I'll just ignore every debate challenge as much as possible by God's grace.

But as said, I really don't mind people who hate me and I leave them to the hands of God who judges fairly, I'll just keep preaching.
