What's Wrong with Adults Lying to Children About Santa Claus?

Finally it's the first month of September (we are now in the -ber months and the world is celebrating Xmas not Christmas, Clausmas not Christmas and Giftmas not Christmas this December because Jesus tends to be forgotten on Christmas A LOT) and I can remember as a Roman Catholic-raised child, I believed in Santa Claus and everything he does and the "ber"months were around the corner and when I get excited thinking about the non-truthful event that Santa Claus is coming and he's got a gift for me when that was all a lie my parents set up to make me behave but it only MADE MY MISBEHAVIOR WORSE.

Well, that's the problem I have discovered looking back at my rather emotionally rough, Christless childhood- children are prone to believing what adults tell them. When an adult tells them that there's a boogeyman, they believe it. Tell them about Santa Claus being real, they believe it. Children by nature are very gullible and innocent, making them fertile ground for Satan's conditioning. Today what most parents don't realize is that a lot of so-called children's programming are actually conditioning them to the New World Order which is coming very soon. It's really stupid while children can discern that Mickey Mouse isn't real and just a cartoon character, these parents lie to them telling them Santa Claus is real and so on and so forth.

I hope any child surfing the Internet right now will FIND this article and realize that there is NO Santa Claus. Yup, children SHOULD confront their parents lovingly on this matter and tell them straight from God's Word. And also ask, this coming December are we celebrating CHRISTmas or is it Clausmas, Giftmas, Partymas? Who is better- Jesus who is the ever present help and source of salvation to ALL who believe in Him for 24/7 at a DAILY rate or Santa Claus who only comes once a year on December 24 on Christmas Eve (if he ever existed) where you even NEED to line up before you can talk to Him than Jesus who is everywhere and is always available to talk to. In fact, I celebrate Jesus everyday not by partying but by sharing the Gospel and living the life of a believer by His grace.

What sickens me is that after I confronted SEVERAL of those adults who I blasted for lying to me about Santa Claus just reply like this... which I continue to hate and this much different than children having been told stories like "Red Riding Hood" and parents telling them "Well this is only fiction" but the lies are so severe as to make a fictitious character like Santa Claus real. That is UTTER FALSEHOOD:

Yup that's how they tend to reply like in the Chick tract "Fairy Tales". That is what sickens me. After I confronted them about lying to me about Santa Claus, they say that my lies are much bigger especially when they think it's a lie. If the Santa Claus scam is not the only thing, the cycle can repeat itself with the "tooth fairy" and the "Easter bunny" to which children will believe every Santa Claus movie they see to be real even if one may contradict the other or make logic look bad with talking reindeer in "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer". Children are very vulnerable and even some Santa Claus origins contradict the other in various literature they heartily believe is real which is worse because that twists their logic. Time Life books SHOULD never lie about Santa Claus being real and I remembered using that source to tell others that Santa Claus is real when he is NOT.

In fact, it irritates me to hear children being lied to about Santa Claus with follow up lies when they get teased about their ridiculous and childish belief in Santa Claus by those who know he is just a myth. Also what is worse is that children because of Santa Claus are taught as early as possible that salvation is by works. If Santa Claus only gives presents to good little children, then it's a reward and NOT a gift. A gift is never worked for in contrast to a reward. Really and how can these parents even call what Santa Claus gives to be a gift if the children HAD to work for it? Santa Claus character-wise can be considered self-righteous, Jesus has something MUCH BETTER to offer to the naughty ones - forgiveness and new life!

Forget about the toys you can't afford, Jesus offers forgiveness to the lost sinners IF THEY LET HIM which no amount of money can buy because salvation is for free. But sadly, a lot of people have no broken hearts, no tears, no remorse for sins, just false professions... and they just pretend to come to Christ but mock Him inwardly in false conversions pretending to pray to God but only for show business which is a huge mockery to the holiness of God. That's why I believe in breaking the spirit and the use of the Law method like Ray Comfort does to convince men they are sinners. Sadly Santa Claus believers don't see themselves in need of forgiveness as long as they "keep receiving presents" because they were "supposedly good" but everybody is in the naughty list (Romans 3:10-19).

After discovering Santa Claus isn't real has caused me to distrust my family but at the same time, God mightily used that incident to make me seek Him and He found me. So nothing wrong with lying to the child about Santa Claus? Children trust adults not to lie to them or to tell them lies, they say, "Well mommy and daddy will NEVER lie." but sadly, Santa Claus is NOT an exception to that and parents should be lashed for doing that! Santa Claus is a blatant lie to every Christian and the Miracle on 34th Street is NOTHING more than a sham to get the child to believe in Santa Claus and when they stop believing, Satan hopes they become fertile grounds to reject Christianity and can be fertile grounds for atheism and to treating God irreverently! In fact, some people I've known are now treating Christianity and Jesus as "fictitious as Santa Claus" and I have parents to blame for lying to their children that Santa Claus is real which is no better than that Mickey Mouse is real. To be honest, I envy children who grew up never believing in Santa Claus and focused on the Lord Jesus Christ. In fact, if possible I encourage Christians to "make some noise" at malls whenever a mall Santa appears and expose them for the fraud they are or two, to be better hand over some Gospel tracts to these Santa Claus wannabees and evangelize to them the truth they need to hear!

What parents NEED is the Lord Jesus Christ and to tell their children about Him. Sadly with a world filled with unsaved parents, they will prefer to tell lies Satan wants them to tell their children because he knows how fragile a child's mind is. For one, children are weaker than adult women, Satan may have fallen on Eve because she was the "weaker vessel" but even a male child is much weaker than an adult woman. And worse, Satan usually uses the mother to lie to their children about Santa Claus. In fact, we need to put CHRIST back into CHRISTMas. It's Christmas, not Clausmas. How often do we hear "Santa Claus is Coming to Town" instead of "Hark the Herald" and people making Christmas lists instead of doing a double the charity drive? A lot more. The fact that Santa Claus is more uplifted during Christmas, people should just say, "Merry Clausmas." to each other if they keep focusing on Santa Claus instead because they are leaving Christ out of CHRISTmas and two, Jesus is not just the reason for the season but FOR ALL SEASONS.
