Conspiracy Theorists Are Usually Just Close Minded People with Wide Open Mouths

There is an anonymous quote that says, "The problem with close-minded people is that their mouth is always open."  James 3:5-6 says, "Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!  And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell."  The tongue might be very small but it causes great trouble and the mouth is not literally big but there's the statement, "Your mouth is bigger than your head."  That statement means you don't know when to close your mouth or your mouth is always open at the wrong place and the wrong time.

The same goes for the deluded logic of many conspiracy theorists.  Somebody can say that the term "conspiracy theorist" is a degrading term for the critical thinker.  There is a huge difference between a conspiracy theorist and a critical thinker.  Critical thinking is the ability to think clearly and rationally on what to do and believe.  Conspiracy theory means, "a theory that explains an event or set of circumstances as the result of a secret plot by usually powerful conspirators".  There is really a great difference between the two schools of thoughts.  The problem is many that conspiracy theorists tend to think they are critical thinkers, they think that people who don't listen to them are close-minded while they are usually the ones who are close-minded with wide open mouths.  Most of them just talk and talk without even providing better evidence for their other claims.  While they might be speaking truth but most of it are just half-truths.

Most of them are not critical thinkers because either they are deluded (which usually leads to paranoia) or they argue using logical fallacies.  A lot of them are deluded because they usually take a look at events and assume everything was done by secret organizations like the Jesuits or the Illuminati.  I do not doubt that the Jesuits and Illuminati are running the coming New World Order but not everything bad happens because of them.  Bad things happen because of the fallen nature or total depravity of unsaved persons.  If a person lives a life of sin, it's because these people are not saved to start with.  If the border patrol charges them with disrespect, it does not necessarily follow the Jesuits were behind it.  As for the use of logical fallacies, most of them usually argue using guilt by association, false dilemma or worse they use a strawman or poison the well (while accusing others of doing that to them) when they can no longer win the argument to generate an artificial victory.  They argue illogically because they refuse to think logically just like a diseased tree bears diseased fruit because it's already diseased.

My only advice for them is simple as this as 2 Corinthians 10:5 says, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;"  While rebuking sin is definitely part of Christian living but conspiracy theories are usually focused on half-truths than real truth.  People who are members of any satanic organization are people who need to be witnessed to.  Roman Catholics are part of the mission field just like every unbeliever who needs to be witnessed to with the Gospel.  False teachers are people who need to be rebuked with the truth because they too are mission field who need to hear the Gospel truth.  The focus should always be on Biblical evangelism and not on seemingly endless speculations.
