Alcohol is a Very Effective Dissolving Agent

Chemistry shows alcohol is an effective dissolving agent. I have discovered how alcoholism is really bad for the health. It dissolves your good cells creating bad cells, it dissolves your teeth and bones and in short it is a dissolving agent. That is just the surface with how alcoholism dissolves the teeth, bones and good cells. It is more than a chemical dissolving agent but it is also a spiritual dissolving agent as it dissolves families, marriages, friendships, jobs, bank accounts and neurons but never problems.

The idea that getting drunk harms no one or no one but the drinker is a lie straight from the pits of Hell. Families are torn apart because somebody is a drunkard in the family. An abusive husband who beats his wife up has a high chance of being an alcoholic. An irresponsible mother who neglects her children or flirts with other men may have the high chance of being an alcoholic. Deuteronomy 21:19-21 even has drunken apostate sons to be stoned to protect others and to serve as a warning. If you are drunk then do not expect to maintain a good friendship. If you are drunk then expect your boss to fire you for a lousy job performance or gross disrespect as a result of being drunk. It dissolves bank accounts because drunkards may not be able to keep up with the minimum amount to maintain their accounts. Do not forget how neurons are affected making people even more foolish because they are drunk.

Why do people turn to alcohol when they have problems? People want anything but God. Romans 3:10-19 warns that the sinful state of man is that with no one righteous they do not seek God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 warns that being a drunkard is also a lifestyle for unsaved people. What is worse is that many people enjoy getting drunk then complain about the consequences of getting drunk. It is really stupid to say nothing is wrong with alcoholism or that it is cool and "manly" then complain that there is suddenly an increase in criminal activities, broken families and road accidents. Even when the results show the consequences of alcoholism, people still stubbornly persist in sin that is why they must be reached out with the Gospel of Jesus Christ to be truly delivered from habitual drunkenness.

It will always be the cry of the former drunkard who has repented of sin and received Jesus Christ as one's Lord and Savior to say, "Now that He has saved me, I shall be a drunk no more." and not "Now that I am saved, I can get drunk all the more." There is no reason to believe anybody can be a Christian and still be as bad as before because 1 Corinthians 6:11 delivers the timeless message of being delivered from a lifestyle of sin and sanctified unto God through Jesus Christ the Son and the Holy Spirit.
