Celebrating 400 Years of the Authorized Version of 1611 Bible

Well, it has been four centuries ever since the AV1611 Bible (otherwise known as the King James) has bee completed and launched to the public. What makes this event great? It has to be because the King James Bible was a compilation to honor the brave work of the godly Bible translators.

In order to get the Bible translated into more languages done, here's what happened:
  • Brave martyrs starting from the Apostles who died of martyrdom (ex. Paul was beheaded in Rome, Peter was crucified downward in Jerusalem, Andrew was crucified on an X-shaped cross in Greece, Bartholomew was flayed).
  • The pre-Reformation Christians that opposed the Vatican's dark grip on the people (Baptists, Anabaptists, Waldenses, and Mennonites) that brought people into the one true Church by presenting them the Scriptures in their native language. Many of them were murdered by the Roman Catholic institution via the Crusades and Inquisition so nobody would learn the truth. John 15:18-19 should come to mind.
  • The rise of John Wycliffe's Bible translation in 1380-82. It was illegal to read a copy of the Bible in English without the permission of the archbishop.
  • In 1455, the Guttenberg translation was published.
  • In 1516, Desiderius Erasmus translated the Bible into English using the finest Greek and Hebrew translations.
  • In 1517, Martin Luther nailed the 95 theses. He later translated the Bible into German.
  • In 1553, Mary I (also known as Bloody Mary) bans Protestant translations of the Bible. John Rogers, Thomas Cranmer, and about 300 men, women, and children are burned to death during her reign.
  • In 1558, Bloody Mary dies childless and Queen Elizabeth took over.
  • In 1567, King James became King of Scotland.
  • In 1588, the Catholic Spanish Armada was defeated by Protestant England.
  • In 1603, Scotland and England got annexed during the reign of King James.
  • From 1605-1611, the struggle to get the Bible done happened. The Jesuits during this era tried to get the Bible destroyed but failed. 2 Timothy 2:9 says that the Word of God is not bound.
  • On May 2, 1611- the King James Bible was PUBLISHED and that's what is celebrated for 400 years today.

Reasons to believe in the King James Bible:
  • God promised to preserve His Word (Matthew 24:35).
  • The English translation was purified SEVEN TIMES, God's divine number for perfection.
  • It was translated during the Philadelphian church period which kept God's Word (Revelation 3:8).
  • The King James translators were honest with their work. When it came to doing so, they added italics to see what words they themselves inserted. Modern findings confirm the italics to be what was missing. Also in the dedicatory, one will find how hard they worked on it. No wonder the Vatican hates it.
  • It has been the best revival book. Many have received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior in the process.
  • It rejected the ungodly Apocrypha.
  • There are NO missing verses compared to most modern versions.
  • The archeological evidence supports the King James more than any other versions. Over 5,300 manuscripts prove it to be so.
  • It has made works salvation preachers look funny whenever they use the King James to defend their heresy that later, they are forced to switch to another Bible version.
  • It exalts the Lord Jesus Christ. Most modern-day translations have removed the words "blood", "without a cause", "Lord" many times across the Scriptures (and wait, Jesus is Lord) and even the words "Godhead" (the old word for Trinity) and "Jehovah" COMPLETELY.
