Ezekiel 16:49 - The Verse Homosexuals Use to Justify Their Homosexuality
Ezekiel 16:49- "Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy."
The verse above has been misused and misappropriated by homosexuals worldwide to say that Sodom was not destroyed for homosexuality. What's pretty interesting is that another term for homosexual is sodomite, both are but synonymous to each other and they play the game of using synonyms as antonyms. So did the verse condone homosexuality as right and just? Not if you read the WHOLE BIBLE and consider the whole Bible as it is, not just itsy bitsy portions that heretics try to use and justify their heresy!
Jude 1:7 says, "Even as Sodom and Gomorrha, and the cities about them in like manner, giving themselves over to fornication, and going after strange flesh, are set forth for an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire." It is not only limited to the Old Testament, the moral standards of God reached even to the New Testament. Verses like Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 are clear that homosexuality is one of the many sins that breaks God's Law. All sin is a violation of God's Law (James 2:10-11). That's mostly New Testament! Also one may fail to look at Ezekiel 16:50 saying, "And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good." Leviticus 18:22 says, "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination."
Taking a look at today, homosexuals show off their haughty attitude especially against Christians who tell them that they only need believe on the Lord Jesus Christ in what He did for sins to be saved and then they say they can work their way to Heaven if they are just "good persons". However they are merely trying to establish their OWN righteousness, they refuse to be forgiven by the Lord Jesus Christ aware that it will make them inevitably forsake their sins after salvation to which they are proponents of the heresy of works salvation (John 5:40, Romans 10:3). Homosexual preachers also are guilty of being idle and spending time in pedophilia like how the altar boys get molested by the homosexual Roman Catholic priests. Just to think about it, many of the homosexuals of today are haughty, gluttons, idle and inhospitable. It can't be denied especially how famous homosexuals may be charitable in the public but are mean to their subordinates, how many of them are overweight, idle like they complain about doing work (plus they're self-obsessed) and pretty inhospitable. And yes, pride does include their pride in the sin of homosexuality.
Is it unforgivable? No. However, they are just too proud to come to the Lord Jesus Christ for forgiveness but thank God for some homosexuals who have come to Him for forgiveness and by His grace, have left the homosexual lifestyle because of the new nature that is in them (thus another reason why homosexuals don't want Jesus, they want to continue in their sins and they'll die in their sins unless they repent and receive the Lord Jesus Christ into their hearts and lives). As said, God's grace changes the life of the person after they are saved, not before (Ephesians 2:8-10, Titus 2:11-15).
