Isaiah 32:5-8 - The Vile Shall No Longer Be Called Liberal

Isaiah 32:5-8 says, "The vile person shall be no more called liberal, nor the churl said to be bountiful. For the vile person will speak villany, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against the LORD, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and he will cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the poor with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right. But the liberal deviseth liberal things; and by liberal things shall he stand."

So here's a little bit of explanation of an entry that actually shows the heresy of an unrestrained form of liberalism. First and foremost, to define the word liberal taken from the Merriam Webster's dictionary:

1
a : of, relating to, or based on the liberal arts <liberal education>
b archaic : of or befitting a man of free birth
2
a : marked by generosity : openhanded <a liberal giver>
b : given or provided in a generous and openhanded way <a liberal meal>
c : ample, full
3
obsolete : lacking moral restraint : licentious
4
: not literal or strict : loose <a liberal translation>
5
: broad-minded; especially : not bound by authoritarianism, orthodoxy, or traditional forms
6
a : of, favoring, or based upon the principles of liberalism
b capitalized : of or constituting a political party advocating or associated with the principles of political liberalism; especially : of or constituting a political party in the United Kingdom associated with ideals of individual especially economic freedom, greater individual participation in government, and constitutional, political, and administrative reforms designed to secure these objectives

So liberalism can be both good and bad just as being conservative. So of course, open mindedness and tolerance are needed in a Christian ministry BUT when it comes to doctrine, one needs to be conservative and stick to what the Bible says. The Bible is liberal in a sense that it FREELY and GENEROUSLY gives the message of salvation and sanctification to all. However it is not liberal in the sense that it lacks moral restraint, not strict or that it is not bound to authoritarianism, orthodoxy or traditional forms.

The vile can be considered liberal in the sense that the person is unrestrained, ignores the essentials of being literal and strict to a certain extent, too broad-minded without setting the important limits. In God's own definition, to be liberal is to be generous and open-minded but not compromising God's moral standards. God Himself is a liberal in the sense He extends His arms open wide to all but THEY MUST COME to Him (John 5:40). They hide behind the worldly definition of liberal but God calls them vile.

Now for a little bit of knowledge of Hebrew. The word liberal used in here is "naw-deeb" which means generous, noble and princely. There is NOTHING noble about endorsing homosexuality, divorce, abortion, false religions, and ecumenism. They are all VILE in the eyes of God because these activities in the process actually oppress the poor and the weak with LYING words. The poor become instruments of wickedness and God hates it!
