Debunking Some Myths About Judas Iscariot

There are some myths about Judas Iscariot that are awfully and downright heretical.  Here are they and this ministry will explain why it is not true:

1.) Judas Iscariot was half-human, half-demon

Refute:

First and foremost, Genesis 6 does not talk about heavenly beings (as some versions suggest) having sex with human women.  Rather, this was when the Sethites married Cainite women.  The Sethites were believers, the Cainites were unbelievers.  John 6:70 when the verse calls Judas Iscariot a "devil", it was metaphorical way of speaking that he was an unsaved individual.  Being called a child of the Devil (John 8:44) is not meaning to say that the person is literally spawned by the Devil.  1 Corinthians 15:39-40 is clear that there is the glory of one flesh after the other. there are no extraterrestrial relations.

2.) Judas Iscariot will be reincarnated as the Antichrist

Refute:

Just as John the Baptist is not literally Elijah, John 17:12 does not make Judas Iscariot the Antichrist even if he is the one referred to as the "son of perdition".  No, Judas Iscariot is not the Antichrist but he certainly is an antichrist.  Remember that Judas Iscariot hanged himself and DIED.  Hebrews 9:27 is clear that once a person dies, he/she will be passed unto judgment.  Judas Iscariot has spent several years in Hell already and is waiting for the Great White Throne judgment.  No, he will not return to become the Antichrist.  Plus, Satan is incapable of bringing back any dead person to life.

3.) Judas Iscariot was a Christian

Refute:

Absolutely not.  The Judas Iscariot argument was used by opponents of eternal security (eternal salvation) to prove that a Christian can lose their salvation when they stumble in the faith.  However that is not the case at all.  Judas Iscariot was not a Christian to start with.  John 6:70 addresses the fact that Judas was a devil in the sense he was not saved.  Also, it should be noteworthy that he never called Jesus as "Lord" while any Christian who is saved does.  Christians can't lose their salvation and it is evidenced by the fact that they will never leave the assembly like the fakes do (1 John 2:19).
