Proverbs 14:12 - Man's Ways Lead to Death

Proverbs 14:12 says, "For there is a way that seemeth right unto a man but the end thereof are the ways of death."

Indeed that is very true. Any human being in the natural state is not basically good but rather a fallen, depraved sinner (Romans 3:10-19) and anybody who suggests otherwise is teaching a serious heresy that denies salvation and could be a Communist. What's the point? Many times Jesus warned about how man's own way leads to destruction. Matthew 7:13-14 warns that the way to destruction is broad and many enter therein and that the way to life is narrow and a few enter thereat. Jesus was simply not kidding in John 14:6 that He is the Only Way to the Father. Despite these warnings, many are guilty of what John 5:40 is teaching that they will not come unto Jesus that they can have life. Jesus did not say they cannot come, they REFUSE to come.

Instead, they choose to do it their own way. How? Well, here are some ways that man tries to foolishly enter Heaven:
  • Some try to live a good life. They say that if God gives them justice, they will enter Heaven. However consider Isaiah 64:6, Romans 3:10-19 and James 2:10-11- nobody deserves Heaven. If salvation were all about justice, well Jesus would not die on the cross (Galatians 2:21).
  • Some try to enter Heaven by their religion. They say that it doesn't matter what religion anybody practices, just be good. Often ignored is that false religion REJECTS Jesus Christ the only Way to the Father. These are nothing more than the crowd of Romans 10:3- trying to establish their own righteousness and being ignorant of God's righteousness.
  • Some others try to pass through unnecessary channels like priests, Mary, the apostles and "canonized saints" who CANNOT hear their prayers. Again, Jesus is the open Door to Heaven.
  • If basic good works are not enough, they do foolish works like walking while kneeling, praying like a broken tape recorder, confessing their sins to a priest, yoga, kundali, self-crucifixion and the list can go on. All these are basically ABSURD! Matthew 7:22-23 will have them gone for good.
  • Some try to avoid the meat forbidden by their faiths. Food does not contribute to salvation.
  • Hee hee... the list can go on.

What does the Bible say? These are thieves and robbers. John 10:1-9 is clear that Jesus Christ is the ONLY Door to Heaven and that salvation is as EASY as entering a door, a very fact that the works salvation crowd considers preaching that fact to be nothing more than negating justice. Salvation is about mercy. Christ redeemed who did not deserve to be redeemed whenever they come to Him and then He changes their lifestyle as a result of salvation, not that a lifestyle change results to salvation. That is, anybody who tries to enter Heaven their way is a thief and a robber.

So how can that be a thief and a robber? Good works are prepared NOT for the unbeliever but for the Christian. This is clear in Ephesians 2:10 that only the people that have salvation by grace through faith are being prepared for good works. Titus 2:11-15 is clear also that God's salvation redeems the Christian to do good works, not that good works are made for the unbeliever. In short, the works salvationist is a FRUIT THIEF. It's no wonder why in Matthew 7:21-23 the unsaved also boast of their many wonderful works yet Jesus discredits them because they were NOT His subjects in the first place- they were rebels who never came unto Him for salvation.

And how is that way to death even shown? Well, many in the works salvation crowd live the opposite of what they teach. It's crazy how many works salvation proponents are adulterers, fornicators, drunks, pornography addicts, drug addicts, homosexuals, pedophiles, swindlers and doing every activity that could lead to horrible deaths. Hmmm... as said the evidence will always show itself. The works salvationists are nothing more than phonies ignorant of the righteousness of God.
