Some Myths About Homosexuality

There's always the myths concerning homosexuality that floats around either to bully a person or to justify the wrongness of the deed.  So this ministry would like to show how it's being justified and how the word "homosexual" can be used as heavy false accusation:

First, the myths that homosexuals use to defend themselves:
  • They say they are born that way.  One of the greatest "justifications" for doing homosexuality is always the inborn issue or the hormonal issue. What is often ignored is that there are noisy lesbians and silent male homosexuals, there are muscular male homosexuals and there are less manly lesbians and the list can go on where a homosexual still sticks to the characteristics of his/her true gender but tries to pervert it.  As said, the issue is NEVER hormonal.  Rather, the issue is Romans 1:26-27 answers it better that it's a result of rejecting God for idols that causes homosexuality.
  • Another is that it's safe.  Despite the alarming statistics that male to male sex spreads AIDS infections by 46%, still they insist it's "safe sex".  It's definitely NOT safe sex.  Checking from Catholic seminary scandals to homosexual communities, male to male sex is definitely the biggest source of AIDS infection.
  • That Sodom and Gomorrah was not destroyed for homosexuality.  However a closer look at the Bible says otherwise.
  • They say that homosexuality is just an Old Testament law.  Again wrong.  What about Romans 1:26-27?  What about 1 Corinthians 6:9-10?  Jesus abolished the ceremonial laws but NOT the moral laws.  God's Law still stands firm about homosexuality.
  • They say that they are not destroying the family.  In the reality they are.  How can two people of the same gender reproduce with each other?  God did not produce the human race to reproduce with the same gender, no God created it to be a man and woman and set certain rules.  When one goes against God's rules, it will be disastrous.  No wonder sinners hate God a lot because they hate Him for making the rules as well as the consequences.  God CANNOT go against His holy nature because He is holy.
  • The worst myth of all is that what the homosexual churches use in saying that Jesus is a homosexual.  Some homosexuals are trying to make a movie (perhaps until today).  If Jesus were a homosexual, He would have not defended the idea that marriage is between a man and a woman plus He would have not been able to keep the whole Law.  This prevents them also from reaching out to the real Jesus who is more than willing to forgive them of such a horrible sin.

Second, some ways to wrongly label a person to be a homosexual:
  • The worldly male chauvinist is most likely to label a Christian male to be a homosexual because Christian males are to stay away (and by God's grace will stay away) from vices like smoking and womanizing because they are displeasing to God and because they love the LORD.  If he ever stumbles into them, he ends up repenting of that deed.  
  • Another wrong way to label people to be homosexuals is because of certain preferences.  A woman who likes gadgets is not a homosexual neither is a man who likes to do gardening.
  • Those who teach eternal security or the fact that salvation cannot be lost are accused by some works salvationists to be homosexuals or condoning the sin.  Some of the dirtiest accusations can go like "Preachers like John Macarthur, Ray Comfort, Paul Washer, Charles Spurgeon, Matthew Slick, Harry A. Ironside, Jack Hyles, Estus Pirkle, etc. who teaches salvation cannot be lost are condoning homosexuality." even if they obviously don't- it's a HEAVY false accusation.  However a big surprise is that many also in the works salvation crowd are either secretly or openly homosexuals.
