Unless a Man REPENTS OF SIN, There Can Be No Salvation!

John 3:20 says that people are afraid to come to the light because lest their deeds be exposed. How true. Romans 3:10-19 reveals that the Law REVEALS the reality of sin. However the problem today is that man in his own sinful state says, "There is nothing wrong with me or what I am doing! I am perfectly justified with all that I do!" That is nothing more than Romans 10:3- trying to establish one's own righteousness and being IGNORANT of God's righteousness. James 2:10 is clear on this issue- it only takes one sin for a man to fall down. No matter how man tries to reach high with good works, he'll only fall down short.

And yes, man has to REPENT of their self-righteousness IF they ever expect to believe the Gospel! A repentance of self-righteousness also includes a repentance of sin, which a person changes their mind about their SIN and the Savior. An example is like how sinners in recognition of their sinfulness came to the Lord Jesus to genuinely beg for forgiveness, having been fed up with sin and wanting to depart from it. Now I am here to battle against the idea of a no repentance salvation because it's plain heresy. The Bible calls people to REPENT YE and believe the Gospel! There's no other salvation but Lordship salvation. This article is meant to prove the these truths: repentance of sins is NOT works salvation and unless a person repents of one's sins, they will NEVER come to Christ for salvation.

And here's what, unless a man really sees that they have sinned (and yes, NOBODY has to be as wicked as Hitler to even go to Hell, Romans 3:10 says NOBODY is righteous) before a truly HOLY RIGHTEOUS GOD, then they will never come to Jesus for salvation. John 5:40 is clear to what unrepentant heart lead to- not that Jesus forbade them to come, they will NOT come to Jesus for life. They like the Pharisees refused the FREE GIFT of salvation. Is it any wonder why many people are becoming more and more hard to the Gospel? Think of the rich young ruler- he thought nothing was wrong with him and when Jesus attacked his pride, what did he do? He LEFT from the faith. He thought himself to have nothing wrong with him. He thought he kept the whole Law until Jesus telling him of what was lacking, the rich young ruler got disappointed because he thought salvation was something he could earn aside from the sinful love for money.

And another issue some may say, "Isn't repentance of sin works salvation?" The answer is NO NO NO! The Bible says repentance. Don't say Paul Washer, John Macarthur, John Piper, Robert Charles Sproul taught it- they are teaching what the Bible teaches! Mark 1:15 is clear in saying, "REPENT ye and BELIEVE the Gospel." Then there comes the "Repent doesn't appear in the Gospel of John" argument which is used by some of the worst preachers. However repentance is still emphasized even without the word "repent" in it like the word "Godhead" doesn't have to keep appearing to emphasize the Trinity. Again unless a person repents (change of mind that results in a change of action, metanoneia) how will they ever for believe in the Gospel? Unless a person changes their mind about their sins, as said, John 5:40 becomes a reality. No repentance, no man comes to the Lord Jesus. No seeing of Jesus as Lord, no seeing of seeing the need to receive Him as Savior. How true. Lordship of Christ is NEVER separable from the Gospel and NO TRUE CHRISTIAN can deny Jesus is Lord! Only a false believer would ever profess a non-Lordship "gospel" or better yet... garbage!

Here are some videos that will help explain the NEED for repentance of sin for every sinner because without which, they will NOT come therefore Christ will not give them salvation (John 5:40):

Pastor Paul Washer explains repentance in this video "The Most Terrifying Truth in Scripture". True unless repentance takes place, no believing takes place! Can you separate them? NO! NO! NO! And yes, he's NOT wrong in asking people to examine their lifestyles to see if they are ever bearing fruit for salvation! In fact, it's the life people live that determines a true and GENUINE conversion! Paul Washer is a very known opponent against people who try to separate repentance of sin from saving faith because it's NOT Scriptural! Hopefully Southern Baptist conventions will meet revival again!

Now here's the testimony of Kirk Cameron and Pastor John Macarthur explains on the rich young ruler. Pastor John MacArthur says that the rich young ruler was not willing to follow Jesus. How true. People today love their sin SO MUCH they refuse to follow Jesus by all means! Seriously, NEVER MIND the mockery of the world- just keep going forward to Jesus! True Christians may fall but never totally fall away. He has also quoted "Except Ye Repent" several times to drive a strong point in the pulpit! Sadly today Harry Allen Ironside is misquoted by easy believism proponents.

Or this reading from the "Prince of Preachers" the late Pastor Charles Haddon Spurgeon should prove no repentance of sins, no believing in Christ!

God bless you! It's best every church takes this message too!
