Haven't They Learned from FAILED Predictions?!

I was thinking of what Pastor Ruben L. Lumagbas Jr. was preaching during one of those many Sundays I've attended church and that he also mentioned about a LOT about failed prophecies like the Watchtower Prophecy's basis on planetary alignment up to Harold Camping's failed May 21, 2011 doomsday now shifts it to December 21, 2012 based on the Mayan Calendar.  In fact, some people were trying to determine the Second Coming of Jesus via their own computations.  The results were usually a failure  because if they did get it right, Jesus would be proven wrong when He said in Matthew 24:36 saying that no man may know but the Father only.  I just had a thought on why many people JUST LOVE to listen to the failed doomsday predictions over the Bible especially when it came from so-called angels or should I say FALLEN angels.  It's because the Bible one way or another doesn't tickle their ears according to their own lusts as these latter day false preachers do (2 Timothy 4:3).  Plus, one must notice that the BIBLE really condemns man's sinfulness, total depravity and inability to save themselves while these cuckoo bird doomsday "prophets" preach salvation by works that man must save himself and conditional security where good works are necessary to keep one's salvation rather than a saved man does good works only because he's saved and not for himself, something that appeals to the natural ego of man that is proud and selfish.  As said, works salvation is selfish and not God-honoring because their motives of doing works of righteousness are for self (I did it), while I a sinner saved by grace do good for the honor of God.  As said, Satan really has a purpose for making quack prophecies so Christians will always be ridiculed by scoffers.  However the Rapture will come, yes and if it is tomorrow, then every Christian can be certain that they will meet each other in the air.  But don't get too excited because as said, only the Father knows.  In fact, I am not sure whether or not God calls me home by shutting me down or will He call me home by the Rapture, only He KNOWS!
