Pastors Should NOT Run for Politics!

The very idea that pastors should run for politics is pretty much abhorrent.  The principle of the separation of the functions of church are state are made too clear- "Render to God what is unto God and to Caesar what is unto Caesar."  So what's the big deal about pastors running for politics?  It's simple- it's a very big contradiction to his ministry that he should ever run for office.  It does get bothersome that some pastors are really running for office when in the first place their place is not for politics.  In my view, it should not even be considered a valid candidacy in the first place for any pastor to run for office in the first place, their candidacy filing should be as void as any non-registered voter in order to respect the boundaries of church and state.  As said, if pastors were allowed to run for politics not only does it interrupt his work to shepherd the flock but also it crosses the obvious yellow line that is set upon him one way or another.  However this does not mean that pastors cannot vote during the elections, it's just that they should be by all means forbidden to run for office to respect the separation of church and state.
