Sometimes Some Christians Can Get Overboard!

One of the biggest problems in Christianity today are Christians who are getting overboard. So far I would admit I used to be in that category and another is in the list of bad theology by Phil Johnson, he had listed one particular site that I would describe as this, "Nasty, getting personal and just does poor research about certain matters and the website's content is mostly getting personal." In fact, here's some ways Christians can get overboard to the point they can become paranoid and even starting to judge persons instead of the actions:

1.) Making a review of every blasphemous trash on the media that Satan has to offer.

Here's one thing- blasphemy exposes itself. I don't even need to make a step by step review of every last Hollywood movie that perverts the Scripture, it already exposes itself whenever I read the Bible or have a Bible lecture. The fact that it's only for public entertainment, don't expect accuracy to Scripture. Also Harry Potter is not the only evil thing in the media, there is a lot, lot more and we know any witchcraft movie is evil so why expose it one by one.

2.) Guilt by association with every abbreviation, design and hand signs.

Just because a person does the "okay sign" does not mean the person is pledging allegiance to Satan or even some say LOL means Lucifer Our Lord. Bro. Gerry Soliman brought that up as well. In fact that is another sign of clear paranoia. Just because a company has an eye on its logo does not mean it's part of the Illuminati or having checkered floors (which is present in Masonic halls) does not immediately mean the person who owns the house is a Mason. This has led to several erroneous heresies that would be similar to debunking praying to Mary as pagan because other religions do it or to say that the doctrine of Christ being God incarnate as pagan because pagan religion believes something similar. The Bible is the only measuring stick and basis to why practices are right and wrong. Just because unsaved people help the poor and weak through their outreach projects doesn't make the practice of doing so wrong.

3.) Attacking the latest fad as "evil".

If you ask me, I don't even need to keep exposing these wicked celebrities as wicked and evil with their lewdness. I mean, even the lewd lyrics and aesthetics speak for themselves. I don't need to backmask every rock and roll song, rock music is already evil in itself with the culture it presents. The rotten fruit of rock artists is already very open. Their bad way of dressing already shows just how they don't honor God with their bodies. Multiple divorces already proves a person is not right with God. Beating one's wife and not submitting to one's husband shows something is wrong with the person. Every one of them who claims to be a Christian but is actually living otherwise is already exposed as a false convert like some woman who claims to be a Christian but she was actually a slutty woman who promoted her filth non-stop to the point she herself shows she is a real worker of darkness.

4.) Exposing every false preacher around.

I would say that is really very redundant. As said, when you attack the heresy, you attack the preachers holding them and attacking the rotten fruit of any false religion, makes you also attack every last minister in it. You attack works salvation and Arminianism, you attack every Arminian preacher around. You attack the prosperity gospel (and there's more than just Joel Osteen) you actually attack every prosperity Gospel preacher around. You attack those fake healings, every fake healer will soon get outraged that their techniques are being exposed. Focus on the doctrine anda ctions, not the persons. It's a waste of time to attack them one by one. For one, false preachers don't need to be exposed one by one, they are already exposing themselves.

5.) Labeling every new technology as "Mark of the Beast".

I remembered how some people were saying that Makro and S and R were both promoting the "666 system" because they disallowed non-members to shop. Well it is similar but that is again the fallacy of guilt by association. If you are going to reread Revelation again, the 666 system is not purely economic, it is associated with worship which is its primary purpose. Makro doesn't require you to worship its owner before you can get membership, the New World Order will certainly require people to worship the Antichrist before they give people the mark. Notice that in Revelation 13, the False Prophet first misleads people to worship the Antichrist before they take the mark. In fact, people today who have a biochip implant (though I would never dream of one as it is plain unethical and a violation of personal privacy) can still get saved as it is not the mark of the Antichrist!

6.) Dwelling too much in conspiracy theories.

The reason why I don't listen to such programs is because they are just getting overly focused on the New World Order. Some of them may have sound doctrines concerning theology and salvation but stray away from soulwinning and make endless speculation on current events. This is also where some people also focus too much on what the Vatican is doing rather than soulwinning. I don't care too much about secret Vatican activities, I would care more about debunking its heresies with the Bible and for Roman Catholics to learn the truth about salvation. To spend too much time finding out what the Vatican is doing can also lead to ignoring the great commission of preaching. Sometimes it can just get over the boarder exaggerated and turned aside after fables because of unreliable sources and bad credibility of any conspiracy theorists. These days, I don't bother unearthing for these "secret activities" or spending time on them lest I go paranoid, I simply share convert's testimonies with videos like "Catholicism: Crisis of Faith" or any testimony that will reveal some secrets and also, I really don't care who hates me, I just pray for their salvation instead. I wait for God's time to unearth these secrets, not attempt to expose them myself if God hasn't called me to.

As said, the focus in the Christian life is to preach the Gospel and reprove the workers of darkness. Christians are called to reprove the works of darkness but not to judge the persons.
