Some People Don't See that Evil Can Pretend to be Good!

I remembered the instance when people start to get angry whenever you expose a worker of evil.  You get talk like "Why don't you like (insert person's name) he's not a bad person.  He does charity work and all to help others.  He is very helpful.  He blah blah blah..." was the kind of reaction after I told them that Michael Jackson or any other person was a worker of the devil.  As said, there are pretenders to good works and real doer of good works.  Some people just because a certain someone does what is "socially good" like charity work, they immediately call him a good person.  What they tend to ignore is that most of these good works are but facade.  In fact some of the most so-called charitable people are habitual adulterers, corrupt politicians, porn stars and you can name the most rotten sinners.  It saddens me to think to these people think they can deceive God.  They can deceive the public but they cannot deceive God.  In short, this works salvation doctrine is a license to sin because as long as you outweigh your bad works with good works, you're fine and you're on your way to Heaven.  It's no surprise for me to see how many rotten people actively give to charity and are very pious to religiosity.  Also their rotten fruit shows more often times than not in the form of living like Antinomians.  They don't teach Antinomianism by word but many of them have poor regard of law because they're not saved.

However the Bible exposes such folly.  You might start with Matthew 7:17-20 that warns of their rotten fruit and in Matthew 7:21-23 many of these so-called doers of "good works" were dismissed as "I never knew you." which was they were never saved to start with.  If these people think their good works can "offset" their bad works, think again.  1 Corinthians 6:9-10 and Romans 3:23 says none is righteous.  In fact, the unrighteous do not inherit the Kingdom of God.  Ever lusted at somebody?  You are just as guilty as the habitual adulterer!  Ever wanted to kill someone?  You are already a murderer.  If you're a homosexual, you are a liar.  In fact James 2:10-11 is clear- you only need to break one rule to break the whole Law.  Even in Exodus 32, you read anybody who sins, they are blotted out.  And sad to say, man is more sinful than he can expect.  He can do good works only to please people but never God.

Hebrews 9:12 calls people to be purged by the blood of Jesus from dead works to God.  In fact, Ephesians 2:8-10 reveals the whole difference of Christian good works and the so-called good works of the unsaved man.  It's this, "I'm never saved by good works but I will do good works because I love God." which is different from the works salvationist who prays the Pharisee's prayer.  In fact, notice the Pharisees.  They did good works for human approval hoping to be good enough for Heaven and Jesus rejected them for that.  In fact, nobody is good enough for God.  But sad to say, people find that hard to believe that they are sinners, they even think there's nothing wrong with them.  In fact, the righteousness of even the best person around cannot exceed the righteousness of the Pharisees.  You can hear many people say it doesn't matter as long as you are good but turn out to have a habitual dirty lifestyle.  It's not surprising and God will expose them on Judgment Day for their secret sins which they may have thought will be hidden forever.

Fortunately the power of God's grace is redeeming.  It changes the person from their sin to the Savior.  A person can always repent of their sin but never of unbelief but one can never repent of unbelief without a repentance of sin.  In fact, when a person sees the power of the Law, it shows them GUILTY before God (Romans 3:19).  In fact, I can't live like the rest of the world only because I'm saved.  I don't sin all I please not in an effort to please God but only because God saved me in spite of my former sinful self.  Think about it, no matter how evil pretends to be good, its rotten fruit will always surface!
