A Frightful Experience with Necromancy as an Unsaved Child

The occult is really no joke.  Even if Halloween is already over but occultism is not a once a year subject, only that Halloween is the time to talk more about it.  I felt like I need to talk about my experience as a Roman Catholic child, who tried to dabble with the occult using the "spirit of the glass" game... which I wanted to attempt on my own to gain revenge on someone.  I remembered the frightful experience because it revealed demons.  I just thought they were spirits of the dead, I used to believe in ghosts. The experience was pretty frightful, I heard the voices of demons pretending to be the dead.  I never thought they were demons.

The result was frightening indeed.  I would say that the demon had led me to really destroy people which made me do stuff.  The demon would try to haunt my mind.  During that night, I started to feel fear.  I tried to expel the demon by praying the Rosary and reciting Hail Marys.  The demon didn't go away.  Later, the demon only returned as a fallen angel.  Although I have not seen a physical form and I was in deception.  It made me hate the Bible because it would really make me see the truth.  I only relied on the Catholic Pharisees.  At the same time, I earned an addiction for anything that didn't glorify God and reveled, believing that I can do all of them all I please then just simply go to confession, pray the Rosary, receive communion... rinse and repeat.  What I didn't realize was that also, praying to Mary or any dead person was also an act of necromancy.

Although the demon was later expelled after I got saved, the corruption of the flesh wasn't easy to get rid of.  Demon possession can have long lasting effects.  Although I didn't have a real need for exorcism but one thing was certain, if I were not saved, I would be in Hell.  Demon possession can corrupt the flesh even when the demon has left... only difference is, I feel conviction from the Holy Spirit whenever I fall into sin and God uses people in the family of Christ to correct me whenever I'm on the wrong path.  Even if a person stops drinking or watching porn but the effects can still be there because the flesh is not yet redeemed.

So what does the Word of God have to say?  Deuteronomy 18:10-12 has warning against the occult saying, "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a NECROMANCER."  The very act of the spirit of the glass or any related activity is necromancy.  Occultism is no joke and it cannot be regarded as "just fantasy", it's a grim reality most people just choose to ignore.
