Listen to This Sermon By Pastor Danny Castle Against Crystal Meth

Countless times, people have a losing war against drugs and why is that? Here, Pastor Danny Castle preaches on the curse of crystal meth which is known as methamphetamine, it is also called shabu for short. Remember drugs is the effect of a Christ-rejecting society, the battle against drugs is to pull down its strongholds fortified by Satan. It's really revolting and I don't see any reason how people can be dealing and/or indulging in meth, calling themselves Christians because no true convert would ever take pleasure in ruining one's self or others. If you are truly saved, you will definitely go against narcotics and liquor as a result of the new nature, even if a Christian still struggle with sin or can compromise foolishly like Jehoshaphat, Samson or Lot but no way can they take real pleasure in indulging in sin much more think nothing is wrong with it.

People say that narcotics should be legalized and commit the great categorical mistake of comparing meth to water, air, salt and fat which are necessary in certain amounts. However narcotics is different as it is a dangerous mixture. We DO NOT need narcotics... while you can drown in water, you can hyperventilate in air, you can die from too much salt or too much fat because it's all about excess. Now let's take a look at the ingredients used in meth production which were not supposedly banned or are beneficial if used properly. You can read the ingredients in this link to understand what meth users are ingesting.

Now let us take a look at the what is in excess, that makes meth dangerous and while these items should not be banned (because they are necessities) but they should not be taken in huge amounts:
  • Iodine is used to prevent goiter (you get that from sea food) but in huge amounts, it is extremely toxic just as too much Vitamin A can kill a person. Four bottles of iodine are required to produced two to three grams of meth.
  • Ephedrine are used in cold tablets. I remembered how a doctor told me not to get overreliant on cold tablets as said, because it can make an overproduction of dopamine which activates the pleasure zone. Now should be ban cold tablets? No but the problem with meth is that the amount of ephedrine is dangerously high.

The analogy above is this... we all need iodine in small amounts to battle goiter, without ephedrine I cannot get a good night sleep from my clogging nose but too much of them destroys the body. That's why meth is bad because it has an excess of something that is necessary, anything in excess is usually bad for you. It's like how alcoholic wine is bad because it has excess alcohol.

What can be done to have a real war on drugs aside from biblical preaching and winning drug users and drug addicts to the Lord Jesus Christ? I would suggest that pharmacies should be careful of people who purchase iodine and ephedrine-containing products in large amounts. Now they may not be necessarily narcotic producers but, it would be necessary to at least restrict the sales of iodine and ephedrine from the pharmacies to a certain amount. At the same time, people should know how these dangerous substances are produced as to discourage the demand for meth.
