China May End Up Having The Largest Christian Population In The World!
I started to listen to this video involving Pastor John F. MacArthur and Pastor Daniel Wong. Here the details of how China's Christian population has remained so steadfast to the Gospel where the Gospel is banned. Is it surprising? Not if you know the history of Christianity that the Gospel spread faster in communities where Christianity received the most opposition from the Pharisees to the Roman Empire. If you listen to Dr. MacArthur's video, this shows how China itself in spite of being a Communist nation, may soon be overrun by Christianity instead of Communism.
China has the world's largest population in the world today. If you think of Pastor Wong's testimony, you see how the family endured persecution. Dr. MacArthur is saying that the strongest Christian community he has seen so far is in China, a country hostile to the Gospel because it's a Communist country. But with facts, did you know that the Inquisition and the Jesuit murders only strengthened the Reformation? When Ignatius of Loyola formed the Jesuit Order, their movement only made John Calvin's call for revival stronger. When William Tyndale a Baptist was burned at the stake for translating the Bible, it only encouraged Martin Luther to print more Bibles. The bloodier the persecution, the more Christianity grew instead!
- Based on provincial data from 2001-2011, they found out that Christianity has the most significant effect on economic growth.
- Direct spending on goods, services, and salaries have been better where Christianity was allowed to flourish.
- Christian ethics have emphasized both the development of the human being and not only the economy. For instance, they cited, the Christian value of accountability to God and man has led to more rational and legal investment behavior in contrast to atheism.
- Jesus' way of saying the golden rule has been more demanding than Confucius when he said, "Do unto others what you want others to do unto you."
When I think of it, Chinese Christians might become the biggest evangelists in the world to fulfill the Great Commission in Matthew 28:19-20 to "Go ye therefore and teach all nations baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, Ia m with you always even unto the end of the world. Amen."
