God Hates Worldly Churches!
I have noticed how some churches have used worldly means to attract people to come into them. In using worldly means, it's unavoidable that the Gospel will be compromised with a sugar-coated presentation which is very dangerous to the soul. I am already hearing the "all love, no repentance" type of Gospel which is just dead wrong. You get a very diluted presentation of the Gospel, that instead of preaching on sin and the sinner, you only get stuff like, "You will feel love, you will feel joy, you will feel peace..." or whatever nonsense that worldly false preachers can cook up to get people into their pulpit. It's a very shallow evangelism that results to the danger of false conversion.
Some of the Evangelical and Baptist churches today have also become social halls instead of worship places. Instead of a worship service, some may end up having a rock and roll concert inside their place of worship. It has become a worldly place where the Gospel is hardly preached, there is hardly any soulwinning and worse, the pastor engages in questionable behavior. It also reminded me how can a certain church assembly claim to be an assembly of Christians when the same church is not only deacon-led but also, the deacons are operating a night club and are involved with smuggling narcotics? The Easy Christianity churches would probably embrace them just because they profess to be saved and that they are still saved regardless, misusing Romans 4:5 and Ephesians 2:8-9 to justify the heresy of the carnal Christian never mind that while a Christian may fall into carnality but they are not carnal indefinitely.
If a pastor is more concerned about popularity and power rather than feeding the flock with the Word of God, if he focuses only on tickling their ears with false teachings (2 Timothy 4:3-4) then you know what Jeremiah 5:31 says. It's a wonderful and horrible thing that the prophets prophesy falsely and the priests bear rule by their means and the people love to have it so. Anybody who claims to be a prophet of God and is so well-loved by wicked men is a false prophet. The true prophets of God didn't care about getting famous, they only cared about preaching God's Word even if it costs them their life. Not so with the false prophets, they only care about making a dime and they even mock the true prophets of God with their self-righteous hypocrisy. Many of them are also ecumenical preachers who are unequally yoked with the Vatican for the sake of popularity.
Looking at the emerging of worldly churches, I am convinced we are indeed in the Laodicean church (Revelation 3:14-22) age, the last of the seven churches in Revelation. The huge warning is that those who are lukewarm will be spewed out. Does that mean salvation is lost? Those who were spewed out were not even saved to start with. This is the age of false converts abounding. Even so come Lord Jesus!
