The Problem of Lumping Anti-Catholic "Christian" Cults With Protestant Christians

I remembered reading some Roman Catholic literature to find out how their reasoning works and here is what many Christian apologists have discovered - many books today have erroneously listed several anti-Catholic "Christian" cults with Protestantism. If you look at the average argument of the Catholic faith defender, they have erroneously lumped several anti-Catholic "Christian" cults with the Protestant faith.

Some of these cults that are considered as "Protestant" are as follows which I will write according to their registered names:
  • Jehovah's Witnesses
  • Pentecostalism
  • Mormonism
  • Iglesia ni Cristo
  • Christian Science
  • Church of Christ
  • Hutterite
  • Orthodox Churches
  • Aglipayanism
  • Ang Dating Daan
  • Kingdom of Jesus Christ

Compared to the Protestant denominations that were established by the Reformers, the anti-Catholic cults are nothing more than what might be termed as just another false church claiming to be Christian while teaching doctrines that go against the Scripture or are led by a figurehead. For instance, you might notice that the Jehovah's Witness are controlled by the Watchtower's president, the Orthodox churches have a patriarch per country, Ang Dating Daan is dictated by Eli Soriano, Kingdom of Jesus Christ believes its founder Apollo C. Quiboloy is the appointed Son of God and the Iglesia ni Cristo and the Mormons are ruled by their executive ministers who claim to hold more or less the same kind of power that the Pope claims to hold.

Where the Protestants draw a line between them and the anti-Catholic cults is with the Bible. The Protestant Christians believe in the Five Solas: Sola Scriptura, Sola Fide, Sola Gracia, Solus Christus and Soli Deo Gloria while the anti-Catholic cults add works or water baptism to the process of salvation by grace through faith, some of them have bizarre ideas about the Trinity, some of them deny the Deity of Christ, some of them require membership in order to be saved and as I mentioned earlier some of them have their "executive ministers" who are no better than the claim of the Papacy. How can they be even considered Protestant Christian denominations especially if they negate the Bible as the final authority in the matters of faith? Neither Martin Luther, John Calvin, John Knox or any founder of any Protestant denomination claimed to be executive ministers and just relied on the Bible alone as their final authority in terms of faith and spiritual matters neither did they claim that they were sent to restore the church because it apostasized compared to the so-called last messengers.

This also creates the rock and a a hard place situation for any Bible believer. Roman Catholics have long accused Baptists and Protestant Christians to be in league with the anti-Catholic cults or to be anti-Catholic cults. Anti-Catholic cults have the tendency to accuse anybody who goes against them to be working for the Roman Catholic institution. Both Roman Catholicism and the anti-Roman Catholic cults are just as misguided to Hellfire as each other.
