The Problem with Backmasking Rock Music

Okay, this video isn't from a Christian channel but it does refute one of the most ongoing myths in fundamentalist circles. If the so-called recording from Hell wasn't enough (which they claimed to have heard the souls of the damned in Russia) then there's also the ongoing thought that there are subliminal messages in rock music. Going against the evils of rock music is indeed necessary but promoting the truth with a lie is uncalled for.

So what's the whole problem of fighting rock and roll with the use of backmasking? You may not find hidden messages most of the time. Sometimes, it may sound like "Satan" but you don't really hear Satan. The backmasked messages are mostly gibberish so how could you even figure out that it was promoting satanic messages there? Besides, a lot of rock music is already promoting satanic messages without the backmasking. There is such a thing as subtle deception but trying to go against rock music with the myth of backmasking is just stupid.

How can pastors responsibly refuse rock music and go against it? They could go for real studies such as how rock music is more noise than music or how it's always going to be fleshly music. One could talk about how the rock music industry is anything but godly. The artists don't even need subliminal messages because they are already teaching falsehood one way or another. The worldliness and the wickedness are there. Trying to do "Christian rock" has already proven itself detrimental to true worship music. They should focus on all the facts and simply disregard backmasking to be nothing more than pseudo-science. Rock bands today promote the wrong things one way or another such as pseudo-unity (Such as Michael Jackson's "Heal the World") and other values that would be unmasked straight by the Word of God?
