Why Jesus is Better than Buddha

Why is Jesus better than Buddha? Here's why and we hope if you're a Buddhist, you will find Jesus is FOR ALL (John 3:16, Romans 10:9-13) not just for the Westerners. We hope you will CEASE from praying to any carved image and make Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior. Just as said, John 14:6 says, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man cometh unto the Father EXCEPT through Me."

Reasons:

Buddha was born on 563 B.C. but Jesus is the Alpha and the Omega because He has been the eternal Son of the Father with whom He is co-eternal and co-equal with the Holy Spirit.

Jesus walked on land, air and water.  He also stopped the waves. Buddha did neither.

Buddha said, "Come and see." while Jesus said, "Believe and you will see."  Jesus never called anyone to blind faith but rather, strengthened their faith with results.

Buddha said, "Death must be expected." to a woman with a dead son. But Jesus said, "Whoever shall believe in Me will live."  Jesus showed His statement true when He rose the dead, Buddha did not raise the dead.  Jesus rose the woman's dead son which Buddha was not able to.

Buddha could only tell his followers he wasn't sure of their salvation and he had to tell them that they just needed to keep working for their salvation.   Jesus told His followers they could be sure of their salvation.  He makes promises He never breaks. In fact, Jesus paid it all on the cross of Calvary!

Buddhism has no stable source of authority because they rely too much on man-made tradition. Christians have their Bible which is consistent through and through.

Jesus can NEVER be represented by any graven image as He is God. Buddha needs images. In fact, one incident has it that the statue of Buddha in Hong Kong needed a lightning rod.

Jesus taught His followers they will suffer because of Him and yet they will increase in numbers. Buddha could only teach that suffering results from desire.

Jesus knew the exact locations of Heaven and Hell because He created them and experienced them. Buddha knew not and created none of them. He assured them of the fact He was their only Way to Heaven.

Christianity has no caste and so does Buddhism. But the greatest difference is that Christianity promises that sins are forgiven by Jesus Christ alone; not by works in contrast to Buddhism that anybody should boast. Jesus emphasized that poverty and riches cannot lead to salvation, only He can do so. This is the reason why despite the bloom of Buddhism among Chinese, more and more Chinese are getting saved.

Christianity’s roots are deep. From Abraham to Moses to the very time Jesus was born in the very mother who He created and chose to be His mother while He was on Earth.  The prophets of God prophesy about Jesus and they all happened.   Buddha had no realistic prophecies about him spoken centuries before his birth.

Jesus went to reach to the poor, the weak, the outcasts of society and condemned the severe religious system of His day.  Buddha did the same on Hinduism but he was never able to open blind eyes, make the mute talk and even resurrect the dead.  In an instance, Buddha only taught death is to be expected but Jesus conquered death for every believer that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life in Heaven.

The more Christianity was persecuted the more it grew whether it may be the Inquisition, the Crusades, Islam, etc.  This one caused many Buddhists to convert into Christianity.  An example is even how one child disowned by his family for not refusing in Buddha brought a flock of Christian converts tenfold even in a Buddhist nation.

Buddha is still in the grave but Jesus Christ conquered sin, death and Hell. He died and rose again which Buddha didn't.   His death and resurrection were proven real and many who tried to disprove either got converted or burned in Hell.  Right now, Jesus is in Heaven with His Father and sadly Buddha is still in Hell waiting for the Great White Throne Judgment.
