Malachi 3:10 Misunderstood - Beware of the PROSPERITY GOSPEL!

In order to make a quick buck, MANY quack preachers have misquoted Malachi 3:10 which says, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." The problem has occurred especially with the dawn of the modern translations. The King James version makes a distinction between "thou" and "you".Thou is singular and you is plural. Looking at Malachi 3:10 at a CLOSER context, the blessing is not for one person who brings the tithe but for MANY. That's why there's not enough room- because it's meant to be SHARED!

So what does that mean? Tithing or giving of one's ten percent is NOT God's plan to make anybody a millionaire/billionaire whatever but to be provided according to their needs. Proverbs 30:8-9 says, "Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: lest I be full, and deny you, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain." and in 1 Timothy 6:6-8, " But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content."

The Bible, therefore, suggests people to strive to get out of poverty but NEVER aiming to be wealthy in the sense living like the richest men in the world who don't have Christ in their lives. As long as a person is stable, has the provisions to raise a family, has a stable job/business that's doing well - then let him/her strive to please God rather than gain great riches. There is NOTHING wrong with seeking to build a good business or get a better job to survive as long as they DO NOT go against God's rules that are meant for our protection. There is nothing wrong with being rich either but NEVER forget God.

Unfortunately, NOBODY can expect God to bless ANYBODY who gives their tithes and offerings to dishonest, dirty preachers. We believe all proponents of the prosperity gospel are actually WORKS SALVATION proponents who many of them are conspiracy theorists who make up their OWN stories about anything to suit their needs. It's best to let those prosperity quacks expose themselves because anybody who asks for money to make anybody rich is a con artist!
