Why The Reformation Online Website Isn't Good Theology

It's Reformation month and I think one of the best websites to be careful about (aside from David J. Stewart's "Jesus-is-Savior") is "Reformation Online" - a website managed by Patrick Scrivener . Something's really not right especially if its claims are too good to be true. If you entered the index page - you may notice the following words: YOU ARE BLESSED FOR VISITING THE REFORMATION ONLINE— THE MOST TIMELY, TRUTHFUL, AND FEARLESS SITE ON THE INTERNET ! Scrivener of Reformation Online wants you to believe or so it seems. While the site does contain some truth (such as "Jesus-is-Savior") - it does contain some dangerous misinformation that it wants to present as truthful. How does Reformation Online stand as the "most timely and truthful" site on the Internet? Is it real or is it just false advertising ? It's a common tactic by businessmen to gain more sales even when their claims get disproven by reality. Just remember tha...

The Danger of Introducing Charismatic Worship Practices into Born Again Christian Churches

Image
I remembered a couple of incidents that happened in a Baptist church and academy. One pastor who was in charge of having chapel hours ended up writing that he ended saying that worship services, youth fellowship and chapel hours should be a time to unwind. That's why he was introducing charismatic methods of worship for that reason. True, worship services are a time to unwind but he had started introducing the dangerous world of Charismatic Chaos. This pastor is probably an adherent of the heretical Bapticostal movement where elements of the Pentecostal worship has been integrated into the Baptist church. I would agree that worship services, youth fellowship and chapel hours are indeed times to unwind. Who doesn't want at least an hour or two to rest with God on a Sunday morning or evening service or the Wednesday evening service? Youth fellowships and chapel hours also help time to unwind from the stress of work and school. But we are not talking about having worldly fun ...

The Pentecostal Movement Gives a Wrong Impression of the Holy Spirit!

Image
When I was newly saved, I really had no idea about how the Pentecostal or Charismatic Movement ran, I thought that they were a healthy bunch of Christians but I was so dead wrong.  The more I looked at events within the Charismatic circles, the more I think those people are really demon-possessed plus the preachers themselves are con artists who claim, "I am a miracle man."  My question is, if they are truly able to heal, why not heal those in need as Jesus, the Apostles and the Prophets of God did to those who were truly in need?   After receiving Holy Spirit conviction of the Charismatic meetings, I have noticed how people made fool out of themselves whether the preacher was pro-Catholic or anti-Catholic.  I remembered some videos way back in the past where the pastor was not only hissing but also, people are already acting in utmost lunacy and I can ask, "Is this movement really from God?"  The more I examined the Charismatic chaos, the more I realize ...

Dealing with The Joel Osteen Argument by Dirty Catholic Apologists

It amazes to think of how some Catholic apologists are just what I'd call having their dirty tactics.  After doing some readings of their entries in the past, it's amazing how they try to discredit born again Christianity has always been using pastors who are actually AFFILIATED with the Vatican.  A LOT and I mean a LOT of corrupt pastors are aligned with the Vatican.  Aside from Joel Osteen, one can also mention Benny Hinn, Pat Robertson, Billy Graham, the late Martin Luther King Jr., Jim Bakker, Jimmy Schwagart and Rick Warren who are mentioning themselves.   This issue of the Joel Osteen Argument was brought by Bro. Gerry Soliman.  I just named the argument as "Joel Osteen Argument" because some Roman Catholic apologists I know try to hit my born again Christian faith whenever they mention about Joel Osteen's scandals, never mind he is actually affiliated with the Vatican!   And also, Joel Osteen last June 8, 2014 met with Pope Francis as well...

Problems Caused by the Pentecostal Movement

Pentecostals are more of a problem than a help.  Why?  Well their teaching of salvation being initially by faith then maintained by works or type 2 legalism, has become a cause of HUGE problems  in society. Their self-righteousness has resulted to breeding the following problems: 1.) Their type two legalism which teaches that salvation is being maintained by works has caused them to call proponents of the fact that salvation cannot be maintained by works and that Christians don't have to do good works to stay saved and enter Heaven to be enemies of morality and teaching a license to sin.  They misquote Hebrews 10:26 to justify their doctrine.   Because their doctrine is SELF-SALVATION, they end up breeding an abrasive attitude of sanctimonious behavior .   Many of them even dare to say they even completely stopped sinning and they give an impression of false humility.  Huh?  That's just crazy isn't it?! 2.) Here's what- some of t...

Malachi 3:10 Misunderstood - Beware of the PROSPERITY GOSPEL!

In order to make a quick buck, MANY quack preachers have misquoted Malachi 3:10 which says, "Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in Mine house, and prove Me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it." The problem has occurred especially with the dawn of the modern translations. The King James version makes a distinction between "thou" and "you". Thou is singular and you is plural . Looking at Malachi 3:10 at a CLOSER context, the blessing is not for one person who brings the tithe but for MANY. That's why there's not enough room- because it's meant to be SHARED! So what does that mean? Tithing or giving of one's ten percent is NOT God's plan to make anybody a millionaire/billionaire whatever but to be provided according to their needs . Proverbs 30:8-9 says, "Remove far f...

What's WRONG with the Pentecostal Movement?

The Pentecostal movement is another of but the many heretical groups that became a result of the schisms and divisions within the so-called indivisible Roman Catholic cult. Although many of these groups are opposed to Catholicism but both are hellish doctrines in themselves. Here are some of the problems of the Pentecostal movement: Note: We are not here to advocate a hatred against Pentecostals but rather against their doctrine.  and to show them the truth that will set them free from the bondage of their religious, legalistic system. 1.) They teach the idea of a dictator god- Pentecostals believe in salvation initially by faith then it must be maintained by works. They uphold dangerous teachings like you can't show me one verse in the Bible you are still saved when you sin (using false dilemma against the proponents of eternal security) in which a Christian is taught they are needed to do good works to STAY SAVED- either way it is still self-righteousness. Note tha...

Works Salvation Promotes a Dictator God!

Image
The picture above is scary isn't it? That's the kind of idea that works salvationists want their congregation to think of how God is. Let's think about it that what if God really intended that there will no chance for man to be saved by grace and that they had to WORK for their salvation? The Roman Catholic Church teaches that man must have do good works to be saved which they try to differentiate "good works" from "works of the law" when both are just synonyms. Islam teaches for man to be saved, they must please Allah with all their good works. Other cults like the Pentecostals can be as deceitful as to say, "Salvation is initially by faith then it must be maintained by works or lose it." No sir/mam, that is still works salvation! In short, works salvation is actually promoting a dictator god (not God, notice it is spelled it with a small letter g) while the ecumenicals accuse my kind of teaching dictatorship because of John 14:...

In Defense of the Believer's Baptism

Image
We would like to write a defense of the believer's baptism and debunking the following heresies concerning baptism aside from the heresy of baptismal salvation: Infant baptism as practiced by Catholicism and its similar off-shoots like the Orthodox churches (ex. Filipino, Greek, Romanian, Russian, whatever...) Adult only baptism which is done in some churches which means nobody below 18 (or 21) is ever allowed to be identified for baptism So first, in defense of why Baptists do baptism by immersion. Let's refer to the Bible and don't start looking for a Baptist confession of faith. You'll find our confession of faith is in the Bible. Baptism after all means immersion so sprinkling is NOT baptism. Let's start with the ministry of John the Baptist. The Lord Jesus was baptized at the Jordan river. Notice that John the Baptist in Matthew 3:16 says, "And Jesus when He was baptized went up straightway out of the water and lo the heavens were op...
