The Incredible Irony that the Iglesia Ni Cristo Condemns Itself

Here is a picture from South Dakota Apologetics which shows a page from the what could be a manual of the Iglesia Ni Cristo religion. What should be disturbing is that the Q and A shown above reveals the fall of the INC with their cult:
  • The INC conveniently ignores that the Bible is finished as the Book of Revelation is already finished (Revelaton 22:18-21). We only need pastors and there are no more prophets and apostles. The work of the apostle continues but not the signs and wonders.
  • The INC ministers believe that they were sent to study and interpret God's Word but they are always taking things out of context.
  • They are now condemning themselves when they say that those who are self-proclaimed will be put to destruction when in fact these guys are just self-proclaimed.

It should be interesting that Dr. James R. White has a vast knowledge. If Joe Ventilacion really knew the Greek then he would see through the doctrines of the INC.

This is where it gets really ironic. As much as I'm a King James Only believer but it's ironic whenever a modern version of the Bible ends up debunking a cult. If all Jan Hus, Girolamo Savonarola and Martin Luther had was a Latin Vulgate in their hands yet they did God's work then the same happens today. Mr. Ventilacion ended up debunking himself while quoting from the New Living Translation.

Here's the King James rendition:
Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: But made Himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:

What's also ironic is that they have condemned the Roman Catholic institution and other rival cults several times but they share these common characteristics:
  • Interpretation and analysis of the Bible must be strictly done by their central councils.
  • The Pope, the INC Executive Minister, the Mormon president and the like all enjoy their privileges as the visible head of their cults.
  • They claim to be the true church and that they have the official name and that salvation is only through church membership in their church. Worse, they believe they can save souls or that they can damn people through excommunication as if God gave them that authority.
  • They both rely more on the traditions of man than the Word of God yet they condemn those who oppose them by misquoting Mark 7:8-13.
