The Bible is Credible with Prophecy, History and Current Events

Okay some people may go ahead and attack this blog ministry saying, "Hey you're quoting from the Old Testament" but most of the Old Testament is still TRUE to this very day. So I would like to quote Deuteronomy 18:18-22 saying, "I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. But the prophet, which shall presume to speak a word in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, even that prophet shall die. And if thou say in thine heart, How shall we know the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him"

So here, the LORD God mentions that a false prophet is different from a true one. A true prophet speaks not his words but rather is an announcer of God's message. A false prophet is purely built on speculation. And in this area, it can be seen that between the Bible and most prophecies, only the Bible contains real prophecies as much as it contains the doctrines and practices of the New Testament Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

A comparison can be seen between the prophets and the Lord Jesus Christ vs. false religion. The example here would be Islam. Muhammad wrote the Koran mostly out of his imagination and lying spirits. There was a prophecy by Muhammad that he himself would return to Mecca which is in greater contrast to the prophecies concerning Jesus Christ that He would be born of a virgin (Isaiah 7:14) and in the accounts of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John be raised from the dead when He is obviously dead. Muhammad's prophecy was filled with uncertainty. He did return to Mecca but here's something- that was easier to fulfill, the other was impossible for a normal human being except at one case- the Lord Jesus Christ is the Son of God. And in the current situation, diviners (ex. Feng Shui masters, Freemasons) mostly fail in their predictions and only make a few lucky guesses.

Just a little bit of examples of the credibility of prophecy can be seen through historical events. These predictions are also promises. God gave these predictions to show how trustworthy He is and that He never lies!

Jeremiah 50-51 gives a detailed account of the fall of the ancient city of Babylon. The passage would not be written down here by the author, as to save space. So it can be summarized that the once great city of Babylon would eventually be destroyed, leveled down and soon enough, it will become no longer habitable . Just think about it, going to Iraq today, the area that used to be Babylon is nothing more than a barren desert. And the fact that it wouldn't be built again is a reality. Alexander the Great tried to do so but failed. The late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein tried to rebuild Babylon but failed. Besides, the ancient city was leveled down by one of Christianity's greatest enemies namely Julian the Apostate who tried to restore the worship of Zeus however fulfilled the destruction of the ancient remains of the literal Babylon. Just talk about ironic how godless men ended up fulfilling prophecy all the more. Or maybe, it should also be mentioned today Iraq is becoming more and more desolate thanks to nuclear depletion, which will inevitably turn it into a more barren wasteland thus fulfilling the prophecy.

Ezekiel 26:13-14 says, "And they shall make a spoil of thy riches, and make a prey of thy merchandise: and they shall break down thy walls, and destroy thy pleasant houses: and they shall lay thy stones and thy timber and thy dust in the midst of the water. And I will cause the noise of thy songs to cease; and the sound of thy harps shall be no more heard. And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: for I the LORD have spoken it, saith the LORD GOD." Historically speaking, the whole issue was starting to happen. First King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon had his army crumble Tyre during the rise of ancient Babylon. Eventually Alexander the Great emerged 250 years later in which he had given the advice to Diades his engineer to rip off the walls of the old city of Tyre to create the highway. Charles Mercer a historian had noted the fact of stones, timber and rubble in the midst of the water. They were used to make the highway and soon enough, Alexander the Great conquered the New Tyre. The old city soon became a place to spread nets.

Daniel 2:27-45 is another event that's happening. The events are getting more and more closer. There's the head of gold, the chest of silver, the legs of brass and the feet of clay and iron which also coincides with Daniel 7 on four major world powers. In the past these were Babylon, Persia, Greece and Rome. It seems that the past events were but a preview of what's going on in the current events. Saddam Hussein was hanged and Iraq fell down. Speaking of head of gold, Saddam Hussein had a high price on his head and later his dictatorship fell down and so did Iraq because of the godless invasion of America leading to uranium depletion. Iran right now seeks to control uranium (by the way, it's colored silver). Greece and Italy are still competing for the head of the European union. The European union has ten Catholic nations now bound together with Italy as its center. Only time will tell when the Antichrist will sit on seat number 666 in the European union. In fact the symbolisms do make sense- the lion as Iraq (based on the sphinx architecture), the bear is Iran (being a devourer), the four headed leopard is Greece and the iron beast is Rome which will soon manifest themselves.

And now going into the New Testament. Right now perilous times are here. If one reads through the New Testament (especially refer to Matthew 24 and Revelation), one can see these are happening:
  • Economic crisis and it's getting worse.
  • Persecution of Christians is getting worse.
  • Ungodly men in power.
  • Scoffers of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
  • An upcoming New World Order- right now the Roman Catholic Church's Ash Wednesday is a step closer to 666!
  • Satan and his followers using signs and wonders to deceive people such as idols that do miracles, fallen angels perverting the Gospel in the form of either "Mary" or any angel in Heaven. Note that not all miracles come from God! (2 Thessalonians 2:9)
  • Men claiming to be prophets when they are not. Beware of the 2012 scam!
  • The true Christians revealed from the false. 1 John 2:19 says that the departers of the faith were not real Christians so again, salvation cannot be lost because a truly saved person will endure to the end.
  • The rise of an apostate church that speaks lies, forbids marriages, command to abstain from certain foods for religious reasons, conscience seared with a hot iron (1 Timothy 4:1-4).
  • Revival in the last days as the spreading of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is a sign that the Lord is coming soon!

Coincidence? Not at all. Even so come Lord Jesus Christ!
