Ezekiel 18:24 Explained

Some of the works salvation cuckoos who believe in type #2 legalism (salvation maintained by works) would dare to spell out and say, "Hey read Ezekiel 18:24." But let's take things into context, shall we?
But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die. - Ezekiel 18:24

First please notice the underlined words "his righteousness" meaning that the "righteous" turns from his righteousness. That is his OWN righteousness. So let's get it straight as the Bible interprets itself with ONLY the Bible. Now, let's mirror it to Ezekiel 33:13.
When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.

Notice even closer than with the statement "own righteousness" meaning the man is NOT even saved to start with since man's righteousness NEVER meets up to God's standards as James 2:10-11 has it that one sin is more than enough to damn anyone and NOBODY can ever keep the whole Law. Also, Romans 10:3 states, "For they, being ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God." That means, these people seek not God's righteousness and because they try to gain God's favor by their good works, they will just naturally fall down flat.

Anybody can do whatever good works they can then they end up falling short even with the smallest of sins, they still fall short out of God's perfection! That's why you need a Savior from sin because you can't save yourself from your sin!
