The Philippines as a Door of Hope for Missions?

Okay the Bible is SILENT about most nations like the Philippines but any Filipino Christian would like to compare my own country to Hosea 2:15 saying, "And I will give her, her vineyards from thence and the valley of Achor for a door of hope and she shall sing there, as the days of her youth, and as int he day and when she came up out of the land of Egypt,". Remembering the valley of Achor, it was a bloody place to be (Joshua 7). It was there that Achan did a wicked deed by stealing some gold and a Babylonish garment and he and his family cooperated in the scheme. It was in that valley where Israel met their defeat at the hands of Ai in claiming the land God had promised to them. As a result of that sin, Achan and his family were stoned for their sin, burned them like garbage and later, stones were raised as a reminder that God DOES NOT tolerate sin.

God was also silent about where He would send the latter rains or revivals in James 5:7-8. He didn't say America or the Philippines but why the Philippines?  Philippines as far as some can say is also pretty marred by many foreigners like being known for the infamous "Filipino time" or to generalize it simply not being on time, corruption and crime all as a result of an idolatrous nation since it is basically Roman Catholic although it does allow freedom of worship compared to Communist countries. Like Achor, there was no good memory by many. However all that would change ever since God sent missionaries to countries of dread status and the Philippines is but one of the many. So how did it do?  God did send his Baptist missionaries even during the Roman Catholic Inquisition's grip of the Philippines during the Spanish period. However He sent America to liberate the Philippines and preach the Gospel and which may have led to the BBFI World Fellowship in Cebu where the Spanish first settled for dominion.
