Should Playing Cards Be Considered and Dismissed as Just Harmless Fun?

One issue about gambling is that once the foundation is set, it seems hard to get go. Is playing cards just harmless fun? Actually one should realize that everything starts on a small seed. Remember the mustard seed? It's a very small seed but it bears much fruit LATER. It's just like the issue of playing cards (which is gambling paraphernalia by the way) and they say, "Oh we're just having fun and you're being such a killjoy. We're not betting on anything." That statement can be so deceitful. If one tries to read sermons of old-fashioned preachers then they may end up stumbling against the issue of playing cards as well. There is in fact, nothing wrong with a Christian academy to ban playing cards and consider it as offensive as cheating in an exam- they should because the invention of cards was nothing more than meant to be for gambling just as marijuana and shabu are always meant to destroy people and earn dirty money. The Bible is clear in Numbers 32:23 to be sure your sin will find you out.

So what's the real DIRTY secret behind playing cards? It's not merely just physical, it's really tied up to gambling and most gambling are tied up and to with cards. Many people who start playing cards end up taking it to gambling. It's just as toxic as every other vice. For example, some former sex perverts now converted to Jesus Christ admit they started with just reading pornographic materials before they actually got into sexual crimes. What one feeds his/her mind- is in fact, a very big determinant of one's actions. That's what playing cards does- it opens the person to the door to gambling just like horror movies open one to the doors of the occult. In fact, even just a so-called friendly game of cards can create a lot more gossip than just a friendly gathering in the local tea house or the local pastry shop. This is not to say that all card playing leads to gambling but Christians if they ever play cards, would be consenting to gambling which bears the fruits of the flesh.

Here's a little bit of what some unknown minister (perhaps Harry A. Ironside) had presented of what gambling is. As of this time, the ministry believes this statement to be true:
  • The KING card represents the Prince of Darkness - The Devil
  • The 10 SPOT speaks of the spirit of lawlessness. It speaks in opposition to the moral law as found in the Ten Commandments in the Bible.
  • Then the CLUB card represents violence and murder.
  • The JACK speaks of the loose living man, the lustful man, the licentious individual who only lives to satisfy his lower nature.
  • The QUEEN card represents Mary - the mother of our Lord. In the language of the cards, however, Mary is represented as an impure, dissolute, immoral woman.
  • There is the JOKER. It represents Jesus Christ. The worse sick story behind the Joker is that he is a result of the adultery between the queen and the jack.

It gets more disgusting doesn't it?

So what actions can be done? Here are some this ministry will recommend against the act to protect the children of society:
  • Playing cards should never be allowed in any Christian establishment especially the schools. Anybody caught doing so in these establishments should be suspended as if they cheated in an exam.
  • Pastors must be very alert on the issue especially that poker is always associated with gambling.
  • Churches must have a card burning session as a means to protest against casinos and other gambling establishments.
