Regardless How Sinful Their Phony Pastors Are, They Still LOVE Such Stupidity!!!

Before St. Paul was going to be beheaded in Rome, he wrote to St. Timothy who was now a pastor himself in 2 Timothy 4:1-5 saying:
I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom; preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

The verse in Jeremiah 5:31 that was TRUE in the days of Jeremiah are still true today.  I am pretty saddened with how this ironic truth has hit that we have these kinds of sinful living preachers YET they are still so well loved that it SICKENS me especially as a Christian, God's grace has taught me to shun sinful living:

  • Habitual adulterers
  • Heavy drunkards
  • Pedophiles
  • Homosexuals
  • Male chauvinists
  • Porn addicts
  • Extortioners
  • Foul-mouthed
  • False accusers
  • False prophets
And why are they still SO LOVED?  Here's what- the three areas of temptation.  I'll give some explanations in EACH AREA to why even if these guys live so dirty, they are so well loved by lost sinners:
  • The lust of the flesh
    • Prosperity "gospel" preachers like Joel Osteen and Benny Hinn preach the "God wants us to be happy and wealthy."  I have read some of Joel Osteen's books myself and I say they are very much T-R-A-S-H!  John Macarthur had warned about these kinds of preaching of a "Madison Avenue Jesus".
    • Works salvation works here first in the lust of the flesh.  Works salvation is all about grabbing rewards rather than pleasing God.  It's a selfish motive to do good works- to get more rather than to give more!  Yes I will get my rewards from God for my work but that's not what makes me happy- God glorified is what makes me happy.
  • The lust of the eyes
    • These prosperity Gospel preachers are wearing overly priced Armani suits over the godly pastor who wears a tuxedo he wore since his College graduation ball!  I have my tuxedo that has been with me since I was 18 and I'm 27- 9 years and still there.  However because they want flashy 
    • The fact that these phony pastors have expensive cars like BMWs, they are no better than the Unholy Father having an expensive car to drive around the Unholy City!  They appeal much to the lost sinner!
    • Works salvation appeals to the lust of the eyes.  The works salvation crowd does good works not to please God but to get what their eyes desire.  It's like helping a person find his missing pet or child not to make the person happy but only because the reward money is high.  Take away the reward money, they don't help.
  • The pride of life
    • They care more about popularity than do they about godliness.  It's always the majority crowd ignoring only a few ever enter Heaven.  Is it any wonder why ecumenism happens?  Talk about false religion, you get stoned.  Remember why Jesus is so hated?  It's because He really dared to say that only He alone is the Way to the Father (John 14:6).
    • Works salvation appeals to the pride of life aside from the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes.  After all, Ephesians 2:9 specifies "...not of works lest any man SHOULD BOAST."  They say, "I'll do it my way."  Works salvationists are VERY arrogant... they say that good works are necessary for salvation so they can take credit for it.  What a far fetched from living faith- as said you can have works without faith but NEVER faith without works.  The Christian does good works by God's grace, the works salvationist does it only to be popular.  But let the rewards die and so does the recognition, such phonies get exposed!
