Booze and Ministry DO NOT Mix at All
It has practically disturbed me to realize how one "Baptist" church I knew aside from its non-biblical stand for elder led governance has also done what is also incredibly absurd to the bone- that is mixing booze with the ministry. I really was newly saved and when I thought they were Christians, I really got really convicted by the Holy Spirit that nobody who is truly saved can think of that kind of activity is ever okay.
Reading 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 we realize that the drunken behavior is one of the best evidences that nobody is saved especially if it's habitual. A Christian may make the mistake of getting drunk BUT habitual drunken behavior without any chastising from God is clear proof that nobody is saved. Booze and ministries can again result to another false conversion which I wished Pastor Ray Comfort also mentioned that in his two most compelling videos "Hell's Best Kept Secret" and "True and False Conversion". Also remembering PastorRay Comfort's book "Revival's Golden Key", he could actually write a book against alcoholism.

In fact, as I have been listening to some of John Macarthur's sermons after I dropped every false accusation I read about him and that I made about him before (the Lordship controversy that is), here's a little bit of what he said about booze and ministry- "It is puerile and irresponsible for any pastor to encourage the recreational use of intoxicants – especially in church-sponsored activities. The ravages of alcoholism and drug abuse in our culture are too well known, and no symbol of sin’s bondage is more seductive or more oppressive than booze." in which Pastor John Macarthur not only qualified that Jesus DID NOT create booze but rather fresh grape juice, it's really absurdly stupid as well to use booze in ministry. I would really agree with Pastor John Macarthur's blasting against booze ministries because they are BOTH disastrous and stupid. In fact, Christians are saved for holy living and taught holy living by God's grace not to be saved and sin all they please. All those false professors didn't lose their salvation, they NEVER had it (Matthew 7:23). In fact worldly methods are just going to result to false conversions.
